  • Hi my family and I are due to go to Lapland New forest on 23rd December. What do I tell my very excited children? Paid by debit card. Lets hope we all get our money back that we paid in good faith. Appalling thing to do this time of year!
  • Hi this is my first post but I have tickets booked for the 19th and I'm really worried as I am disabled and wheelchair bound, we telephoned twice before opening to make sure that it was accessible and were informed there were no disabled concessions as the whole site was totally accessible; well irrespective of how shockingly awful it looks anyway; from the photos and footage I have seen there is no way my husband could push me and our very young son around without me getting stuck and injured. Does anyine think that if we phoned up and explained how we were lied to re wheelchair access and that I genuinely could not attend something that was basically a quagmire with no disabled access they wold give us our money back???

I would appreciate any thoughts and my sympathies go out to everyone else who has been conned by this rabble.

NB I have also noticed their website has mysteriously dissappeared

Sorry that you've been conned. The place probably won't be open by 19th.
If it is, don't go. Find a free Christmas market or somewhere else with atmosphere.
Put it down to experience. Sorry.
  • £25 seems a lot of money. Doesn't Alton Towers cost less than that, and has many more attractions? Maybe there's nothing similar near Bournemouth
Paultons Park does a Xmas thing each year

Matchams has been used for varoius things over the years - more recently as a car boot sale site so would have to be okay for all the visitors.
  • update from the local paper 8.36 am

LAPLAND New Forest bosses are battling on with their troubled Christmas theme park despite calls for it to be closed down and the threat of prosecution.

The much-criticised site is still open for business despite more than 2,000 complaints and investigations from local councils and the RSPCA.

Up to 50,000 people are believed to have pre-purchased tickets Complaints have flooded in about the attraction,

soooo 50,000 x £25 = £1.25 Million i cannot believe its that easy to rip off so many people and make so much money and the authorities don't do anything about it - BUT go just a little too fast on a quiet road at 6am trying to get to work to earn some money and they are quick enough to throw the book at you !!!! Its so wrong.

I wish I could share your confidence in it not being open by the 19th...some how people like this seem to always get away with it, like other people have already said it always seems so easy to fine us for overloading our bins or parking for longer than your ticket says but people like this get away with making millions at our expense...it's just so wrong. The only good thing to come out of this is that I will never trust people who promise me things and not part with any money without checking reveiws first!A hard lesson learnt, I am normally so careful but was the whole idea overtook my sensible head I think!

    Fingers crossed for some justice!

    Breaking news!

    http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/b...-200812021434/
LORD Mandelson has added the pathetic Lapland theme park to his list of businesses that must be saved.

The business secretary insisted the ludicrous attempt at recreating Santa's magical wonderland was essential to Britain's economic future.

He added: "Christmas is the most businessy time of the year and nothing is more important than Christmassy businesses.

I've recently learnt that apparently forum ettiquite here requires the use of smilies in such posts to make clear for those who dont bother looking at the link!

the quote above should include a ':p', ':D' etc.

I don't understand when the tickets were £25.. I paid £30 for mine.. and calculated that with pre-paid ticket sales up til new year, they've already forked in well over £1,000,000

I think tickets were £30 each, or discounted to £25 each for a family of four.
