k2tog - did you pay by card or cheque then?
If you paid by card, did you try a refund via the bank? (I tried looking at some of your previous posts but can't see anything about your payment method or whether you actually got to go).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Wrote to credit card company, quoting section 75 etc. Fobbed off with its in the hands of our legal department. Then found all that very useful info on chargeback. Sent another letter demanding a chargeback with an answer within 14 days. Oh and could they also let me know the procedure for complaining to the FSA, should that avenue be required.
Outcome - £175 recredited to card account.
Many thanks to you all on this forum for the advice.

Thank you for the update Dougie. Success stories keep us all motivated.
Time is short to claim if the 120 day limit applies from date of attendance or intended attendance.

All ticketholders who have not yet had a refund should register as creditors with Grant Thornton (Lapland.Liquidation@gtuk.com)
All card-paying ticketholders who have not yet had a refund should continue with chargebacks or section 75 claims in addition to registering as creditors. Gomer's Guide'll help:

This is from the Spring issue of The South Staffordshire Review, regarding the closure of Lapland West Midlands. It is somewhat disappointing that no mention is made of taking any legal action.

Paid by cheque and thankfully didn't get to go. Don't think I'll actually get the money back but don't intend to make life any easier for them by just going away!0 -
k2tog,
Did you make the cheque payable to Lapland New Forest? I assume you did if you have letters etc from Grant Thornton.
If not, you could look into the small claims process.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

We think you may be running out of time to do a refund via your bank.
We believe the time limit on some claims to be 120 days.
(Advise Grant Thornton if you receive a refund so your bank becomes the creditor for the amount of your ticket)
Legal action? - No further update.
