Hiya,
I've just recieved an offer from halifax for £504 for my bank charges. I only asked for £330.
There letter states that the money will be firstly used to bring it within its o/d limits n then the rest credited to my current account. I was wondering seeing as my account balance is £917 overdran and my over draft is only £850 does that mean that they will pay the difference between these two amounts and i will be able to still use the rest of money?
Thank you

Wow when did you apply as i applied in August under hardship and i am still waiting.
Your very lucky. I would ring them and ask but i think they will pay the money in your account which will bring it back within its limits and you can still spend it, up to £850No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Hiyaaaa,
Well i sent my first claim initially around may-june time this year, then i read on here ppl were getting offers if in financial hardship so i re submmited it under financial hardship i sent it recorded delivery to my local branch on the 8th october and today i got a letter from them offering me £504. I didnt have to ring up or chse it or anything. I think they payed up because my account was over the limit.

Congratulations to everyone with the successes, do you think it matters if I first put a claim in last year and it was knocked back? I could do with claiming the charges back under hardship, how do they judge hardship? It's under £400 but I could really do with it, as I'm getting married next year. Also did you charge interest or was it just bank charges? Thanks and once again congratulations.:A :

Hiya,
I resubmitted my claim under hardship on the advice of a lady at their customer service department!
My account was over its o/d limit by about 60 pound so im not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Yes, they need to assess whether you meet the hardship criteria.0 -
I have rang them about 10 tens if not more since i first applied. I no they definitely got my forms at least 5 weeks ago, I think they got my first form which was sent in august but they said they didn't get it.
Sorry but i am rather cross that you applied after me yet you get an offer before me.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Congrats on getting some money back.
I appealed what seems an etirnity ago, got a reply saying that it has been put on hold due to appeals in court.
Am I to re-apply or would it be worth just hanging on?
Thanks0
