LOL - No I don't. They were always one I'd said I'd never go back to, however when there is a saving to be made, I'd be completely stupid not to.

I'll re-check my figures again later just in case I've made an error somewhere, and also have a think about it. I know what you're saying and I'm usually one of the first in the queue when it comes to saving a few quid, even pennies!

I've just got this real bad feeling about BG though, once bitten twice shy kinda thing ;)

No worries, I was the same. Still at the end of the day, even if they do have dreadful customer services, the electric is the same and that's up to the local distributor.

On the subject of marginal savings, I think one needs to do one's own calculations not only based on historic consumption, but also with, say 10% +/- on that. Quite possibly the savings will evaporate.

I have also recently signed up online for Click Energy 6 (from Ebico). I also had the problem with the confirmation letter saying that I had signed up for the Standard Tariff and paying on reciept of bill. Fortunately I had the confirmation email which confirmed that BG were wrong. I phoned them and it seems that the data entered by people on the web site is then keyed into the BG system manually somewhere abroad. After a lot of insisting on my part and the call handler speaking to someone else, I was told that the best resolution was to cancel the transfer and start again. This was done over the phone, and I have to say the caller phoned me again a few days later to confirm that I had received the confirmation letter, and that it was correct. As a matter of interest I was also able to negotiate my monthly payments down from £48 to £32 while I was on the phone, even at £32 I will still be paying a bit more than needed (annual usage 3200kwh). Finally using a spreadsheet, taking my last 12 months consumption, and taking into consideration the standing order discount (I avoid direct debits), I will be £140 better off. So at the moment a result all round, lets hope it stays that way. Its a shame to be leaving Ebico, but with such a large saving, I have no choice. (staying with them for gas)

Received confirmation letters today, states Click 6 on the paper work and price list.

Only switched the electric, as gas is cheaper elsewhere, even taking into account the lost of duel fuel discount.
