Surprised you signed up for the gas, considering they are dearer.

Works out cheaper electric from BGas and gas from elsewhere.
I recall for me it worked out very marginal. I'd also think that the individual consumption rates and area prices would make any generalisation unsafe.

That's certainly true and it wasn't until I started looking at the utlilities separately rather than dual fuel prices that I noticed BG was so much cheaper for electricity on their Click 6 tariff. I'll be staying with Ebico for my gas though ;)

Yeah, my gas is staying with Ebico.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Gas is the same price throughout the country. Even if you were a very low user of gas, there is still a considerable difference in paying Click 6 prices and Ebico prices.

You didn't. I did. However like I said, gas is the same price throughout the country, it's only electric that changes.

Actually on present consumption figures I would by splitting be max £17 pa better off and be partially in the hands of NPower, even more :eek:y than BG!

Moreover, as I've just had wall and uprated loft insulation fitted the theoretical saving would be liable to be under £10 over what I expect from what I am doing now

Regarding the internet problem - it's worth ensuring that cookies are fully enabled otherwise the British Gas website won't accept your application.
