Get you and your good credit score!
Congrats on the card CAFCGirl, now you should see those totals drop like a stone.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I ruddy well hope so....
I dont think I can actually believe it went through....
I was sure my credit score was pretty awful to be fair so this was a bit of a shocker...
Should be with me within 5 days and then I can register it, and transfer my balancesWealth is not measured by currency0 -
You could always transfer most of your balances from your 0% cards but leave as much as you can pay off over the rest of the 0% life and pay less in transfer fees (iyswim)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

yeah that makes sense..... need to make sure that all of my 19.9% is transferred over first tho, as thats the one that is currently messing up my plans, then will cancel that account as I think that will help my credit rating.
We'll still have 4 cards (if I cant transfer 2 cards over), but better to have the lower interest rates I think.
Dooyoo is up to 32k, so I want to try and get another review done today, and then a few tomorrow. Ideally would like to have reached my 50k by christmas, even if it doesnt pay out till after xmas, free money is still free money
Feeling pretty chipper today now, and quite motivatedWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Well done CAFC - see it was worth a try. I'm a bad risk as I don't have a permanent job and I'm self-employed but don't earn much (total income is a lot but after all the fees, packaging materials etc it knocks it right down so don't earn enough to have to pay tax). That is why I'm glad I have a few credit cards to play about with. Think I'll ring Lloyds and transfer the other £3k from A&L if its going to go up to 21.9%, I'm glad that I have 3 cards with low life of balance interest rates, will try and pay 73.03 off M&S so its down to £2,500.
I'm finding all this paying off very exciting, I actually look forward to getting my credit card bills in (am I mad?), I always pay them as soon as they come in (except Barclaycard as that is £160+ minimum payment).
Can't wait until I've done all my Xmas shopping then can make more payments, will be doing the Payment a Day challenge after Xmas.
Apparently tomorrow Woolworths are putting lots on sale, 50% off toys and various other reductions on other things.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I know how you feel tmd, I love a good paying off spree.
Will now not be much until 22nd (my early Christmas payday), I may have to find ways to make extra drops into the ocean.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Nearly hit my 33k on dooyoo, although am smarting a bit as someone gave me a somewhat useful which has ticked me off, but oh well, still earns me miles I guess...... just really annoying!!!
And you're not mad either! I love checking all my balances online etc.
I get such a buzz when all my payments are clearing from my accounts. I need to move some money about between our debt account and my current account as I inadvertently paid my cc bill from my current account and not the debt account we have! My own fault really but all easily rectifiable.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I transferred the other £3,000 on my A&L card to Lloyds so am happy that I won't be paying 21.9% from next year.
Glad I'm not mad then!Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Welcome to the newbies on the thread.
Congrats to everyone who have managed to either pay off more or at least stay on track - just doing that can be hard as we all know.:A When I first joined Pink Twirl I wanted to cry re my debts etc - but now everything seems to have turned around....
Pink Twirl hope things are getting sorted now for xmas. Look at the special occasions board - especially http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1175727 finished baskets - photos thread and gifts in a jar thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=571440 for ideas on low cost pressies. also see Festive Fivers on the same board (all pressies for less than a fiver).. My MIL's favourite present from me ever was this year a (photo) snowdome (currently in home and bargain £1) and a calendar that I bought for £7.50 including photos and post and packing (but got £6 cashback on from a site). No need to spend £20-30.... :money:
Everyone I've given hampers to so far have been chuffed to bits...
I have all my xmas presents pretty much sorted thanks to the threads I listed above and the £10 a day challenge...
Thanks to those who asked about my time away - my job is not very pleasant at the moment. But was staying in a hotel on an expense account so took the time to read a book and a magazine and relax which is a rare opportunity for me! So there were some positives... Now I have another expense claim to submit. will all be pleased to know tho, that I got my last expense claim in on Monday of this week:T Result - thanks for the nagging!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
