  • Wow PAID,

That is an amazing amount. well done!

Thanks for advice SavingH. I will take that on board and maybe try to pay it off instead of the loan. Then if most of it is gone I might be able to transfer some of the loan over. Although I am not sure if Sainsbury's allow you to transfer money from a bank account. I think Virgin do so I will keep that card, as they are always offering balance transfers.

Have started to list stuff on Ebay. If they don't sell, I will relist them once and if they don't sell after that I am going to give them to the charity shop. Time for a total wardrobe clear out (she says, even though she has only listed 2 items!!!)

  • I know, I can't wait to put it in my ISA ready for the credit card in September - am feeling all imaptient and gutted that I need to wait to see if I am going to get paid in December.

I might be really cheeky and see if my parents are able to lend me the equivalent of my salary for my December pay if everything ends up going TU so that I can still make my payments. They know all about what I am doing with my debt so might be willing (if they are able) if only to help me to get the money out of my account so that I can't possibly spend it.

I don't really want to do it but I sort of feel like it might be the best option. Ho hum.

Scrub that, I just had a brain wave, if I don't get paid in December then I can get a cash balance transfer from my lovely Virgin Card and then when I DO get paid I can put all of my December pay into my ISA/Savings accounts. Yay, I didn't really want to beg from my parents.

Could you contact your payroll dept to make sure you definitely will get paid, just to make sure that you're on the pay run.
Im sure they wont mind, and they can easily tell you....

  • I will do when I get there but I don't start at the new place until Monday and want to make the payments now (I said I was imaptient, pathetic isn't it :rotfl:)

Things with HR have been a little chaotic up to this point with their HR dept. I know the cutoff for my old employer (who I left all of yesterday) was 4th December because of the early payment thing that they do each year, the new place does something similar.

If I put my sensible head on I will wait until I know for sure but like I said, I am ridiculously impatient.
