  • That's fantastic Tirlittan. You must be delighted that you can pay that off. I was like that when I paid my RBS credit card last month. It feels great to logon to my online banking and see a big fat zero on my credit card. Now if only my Virgin one looked like that!

    PAY DAY!!!!!!

    HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    Can you tell I'm excited?!
Spent £1.30 on lunch today, not the worst but should have and could have been better really..... but hey ho.
Really need to get on with Dooyoo, I've missed out on so many days!
I'm off tomorrow and DH is going out for the afternoon so I'm going to try and knuckle down and do some then.

Also going to withdraw my spends money tomorrow, or maybe friday if I can last out :)

Ok, so I thought I'd be good today and started listing ebay things on auctiva...But it's so different it's taken me ages just doing one listing, and that's not quite finished yet. :( At least I've made a start. Plus today I sold two items to my friend that were supposed to go on ebay and gumtree and got the money I was going to ask for them as well. So I'm £15 better off today! :) Plus £30 she gave me as birthday present. :)

Good going hun, really nice to hear you sounding a bit more upbeat.
I have times when I really feel so disheartened but one small payment, or unexpected money found can really help lift the mood... so well done you :rotfl:

Hi all - you sound like you have been making progress... I can't really make any payments until the start of Dec so sitting on my hands... Went further into OD than planned last month so intend to be a bit more careful. On a good note - I have been repaid the money for xmas presents I bought on behalf of others so that will also take a bit of pressure off...

So guys - to stay on track - I need to reclaim my hefty expenses by the end of this week so feel free to encourage me on that...

Oh, you know the "one step forward two steps back" - feeling? That's me. Was supposed to get my back pay from last job today and it hasn't come through. When I spoke to payroll, they said, " well we have paid a lot, but it's possible we've missed one" and now I have to wait till my next pay day on 15/12 to get the money!!! NOT happy. :( I was so ready to pay off more of credit cards, and more than I planned. Need to cheer myself up and pay the £15 off barclaycard, that'll keep me going.

Yes, I got that ebay email as well. If I put my things to start on those days on auctiva, does it automatically not take any money from me? Got most of my listing done at least half way through, so it's looking good for the weekend...even if I'm not here. :)

  • Tirlittan - I know how you feel about Ebay. I have an account which my OH uses (and he's even built me up a nice rating) but I never sell stuff as I can't be bothered. I have a pile of stuff waiting to be listed and really need a hefty kick to shock me into action.

CAFC Girl - you sound like you've already made a lot of progress on dooyoo so don't beat yourself up if you miss a few days. I'm making progress there, but slowly as I always write loooong reviews. Tell you what, I'll go and give you some points now (have seen you on there :D).

Well I've not been around here much lately but have been pretty good with the no spend days. I passed an exam the other day :j and wanted to reward myself so went for a mooch round the shops. Although I saw a lot of stuff I liked I couldn't bring myself to buy any of it as I just kept thinking about the paper hat challenge! How sad am I? I've quite a bit to pay towards it this month thanks to some overtime and extra pay. A year ago that would have gone on shoes and flights - now it goes towards the hat. :T
