£75 to yourself isn't too bad really considering the time of the year.
I need to budget to within an inch of my life if I am going to make any overpayments in the future. One of my key areas will be general spends (diet coke, sarnies etc) and food shopping. Now there is only 2 of us I am hoping to get my food shopping right down. My little girl eats loads of veg and fruit which is obviously cheap so I'm wondering if with meal planning I could get down to £100  .
I get paid early in December too I think, I may check tomorrow when I am in work to find out the actual date and it means January is sooooooooooooo long and near on impossible to get through.
Thats my big worry as well, figured if I can do it this month, should make next month a tad easier.....:A
I think you could manage on £100, especially since your little girl does so well with her food. I think I might try to use much more veg in our cooking in the future to try and bulk everything out....and save some penniesWealth is not measured by currency0 -
I LOVE Ebay, but do get bored listing stuff. My two eldest are at Playgroup and Nursery, baby has only just fallen asleep 5 mins ago and I need to go out now and pick the other two up, Sod's Law, wanted to get some things listed on Turbolister for tonight, have to do some of it when the kids are in bed as I have some toys to list and the kids will want them if they see them, my need to sell them is greater than their need to play with them so I'll have to wait until they are all asleep tonight.
I have 38 things on my Personal Ebay account with bids on 4 items, my Business Ebay account I have 82 things, sold 3 things this afternoon so that was good.
Maybe anyone wanting to list on Ebay could do 1 or 2 a day, then it's not so bad. Ebay is my only income for paying off my debts so I HAVE to do it.
Anyway, must run.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Good going TMD. Ebay used to be my main source of paying off debts but I have let it fizzle out (tut tut) definately need to get back into it even though I have left it a little late before Xmas now.
What do you sell on your business account, wondering if I have ever bought off you lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Morning all. I've decided to have a bit of a break. I'm just not very motivated at the moment and the more I push myself, the less I actually get done, so I'm going to try to keep to my budget, but not stress about ebay etc. I'm going to receive £12.04 from Amazon soon and my back pay is coming on Thursday, so I can pay the planned and a bit more of my cards. I know I'm going to achieve the planned paying off Barclaycard before Christmas so I'm going to be content with that and see how the rest sorts itself out.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Hiya Tirlittan,
Your right to give yourself a break if your not feeling it. I have also given myself a break for Dec and Jan and feel good about it. Yes, it is interfering with my debt saving plans but I want to enjoy my Xmas and my weekends away in Jan without worrying about debt all the time.
You can only push yourself so far and when you do finish your break you might come back more motivated than ever!
P.S - totally forgot about Ebay last night. It didn't even enter my head!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Sounds like there a lot of good work going on here - I should have a sort out and do some Ebay-ing. To be fair when I moved I got rid of lots of stuff but I know I have boxes that haven't been opened in over a year so could deffo get rid of more!
I've been a good girl and keeping a spending diary for last 2 days. Scary how much tat I buy. Been approved for an Amex cashback card - hope I don't use it as an excuse to spend moreLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Morning.Received £12.04 from Amazon sales today into my bank account and just felt I had to do something useful with it, so paid £11.66 off my barclaycard making it a nice round £377 (seems to be catching this obsession with round numbers with no pennies hanging off
). Feel good about that. Tomorrow I have my back pay and will make another payment so in December I can finally clear it with the usual minimum payment plus over payment plus with the £200 that's waiting in a savings account.

Funnily enough, now that I've almost paid it off, they have decided to increase my credit limit to £2350. When I've paid it off, I'm gonna say adios to it though and cut it up!!!
That'll be a day to cherish.
