No progress report for me and looks like I have shot the budget for this week cos I had to get a taxi to and from the cinema (no buses and don't drive). Ah well, will just have to watch myself for the rest of the week and for the next couple of weeks then.
The film was excellent. It was 'Hunger', about the Bobby Sands strike.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Morning all.I've made no progress for ages now.
Can't wait for Friday, pay day, to get the debts down a bit more. Everyone's doing really well though. I'm planning to list on ebay on Thursday and I did sell a book on amazon yesterday that I need to post today.BF and his friend are talking about going on skiing holiday in January when the prices is are cheaper. He only went skiing first time last year and I've been skiing for ages, so not sure if I wan't to join them. Maybe we'll go together later in the season when he's had some more practise.

I agree about the pointlessness of it, it means I have to try extra hard not to spend my debt/rent/everything else payments and it makes it sooooooo long between pay days.
I'm seriously considering having a no-spend Chistmas week to try and take the edge off it, something like no spending between 23rd and 29th December (except real essentials). I should have all my pressies bought and wrapped by then, and instead of traipsing round the sales come Boxing Day I'm picturing myself with me feet up in front of the fire, spending quality time with my loved ones and [strike]scoffing the leftover chocs at the bottom of the tin that nobody else likes while watching Corrie[/strike] going for bracing walks. What do you think, does it sound like a plan?0 -
Sounds like a great plan Snow White!!! I don't plan to traipse around the sales either. it drives me mad and I usually only buy non-sale items anyway, although River Island is usually good for 1/2 price belts and accessories! Ah maybe I will go after all!!! :j
I have just been on the Oasis website and ordered a dress for Xmas. I had a 20% off code and also did it on my Oasis Card (which I always pay on time) so I don't have to pay until the end of December. I feel a bit naughty but I do need something for Xmas as I have a few parties! Don't slate me anyone!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

CMD _ What size are you hun? Should have mentionned it before I've got a couple of really nice party dress, just right for christmas parties still with the tags on, you could have borrowed those and saved yourself the money!
Tirlittan - Dont worry about how much you've paid for the time being, the point is you're more focused than you were before and thinking more in depth about the situation, which is a priceless lesson to learn really.
No more debt repayments done from me. Got to do my daily dooyoo review today, print off the photos to take into our letting agents regarding the mould/damp issue in our flat....
How is everyone doing with their POA?
Good job on getting those dollars changed back up hun. Really must remember to do all my petty cash receipts tomorrow!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Now it sounds perfect for me and my family (we get on well just not for too long in any one session)
That does sound like a plan though, if I am honest then most of what I buy in the sales is utter tat anyway.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I was looking at what my November pay should be and I should be able to chuck an extra £500 on top of my usual amounts of overpayments at my card [read: ISA for stoozing] because of the annual leave I am owed when I leave my job - blooming marvellous :T And then my regular overpayments will be up by £300 a month from December's payday (if my paperwork goes through on time and I actually get paid in december) because of starting my new job
For once I can't wait until the new year - all I need now is willpower and the paper hat will be mine mwahahahahahahah (sadly willpower isn't my strongest virtue so it is probably safely out of my reach)
Right, how long until payday??£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

CAFC Girl,
Thanks for offer but it's ordered now and I will make good use out of it around Xmas! I have a night out for my brothers wedding celebration (got married in Oz this year), have a night out on Boxing Day, have New Years Eve and then a night out for my birthday. I am a size 10/12 depending on the day!!! Ha ha! and probably after all the over-indulging at Xmas I will be bulging out of it!
Hope you get on well with the photos of the mould tomorrow
PAID,
Sounds like you will be able to make great headway on the debts soon. That's great. You must be dying to get paid.
Tirlittan,
Good on you for getting the money changed, Every bit counts!
My POA:
* Have blown the food budget already
* Didn't make £10 on AQA yesterday (made £7) but am on track to reach it today!
* Am at 5k in Dooyoo so need to get another 5k
* Haven't even looked at the Natalie Cassidy DVD
* Went to the cinema last night and didn't have a drink after it!
I'd say I'm doing okay but lots more to do!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
