Hey TMD,
Can imagine life in the pox house is not nice. What's the average lenght for pox?
Well done on destroying the card! :T WAs that your only credit card? I'm sure it'll work out fine. I'm looking forward to shredding my barclaycard that I paid off ages ago. Took my shredding to bf's last night, but didn't have time to do it. He offered to do it for me and I said I'd like to do it myself. It'll be just such a lovely feeling to destroy it. Looking forward to doing the same to my Virgin card come september.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi
No I have 6 other cards all with balances on, that was the only one that I use when I need to buy anything and I don't want to keep adding to the debt.
I have £200 to pay off it but at least I can't buy anything with it anymore.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
That's a good start. :T
I'm so looking forward to getting rid of my last balance transfer card in August when it's all paid.
I still have 3 credit cards after that.
Tesco's - was a balance transfer card and only recently realised the account has not been closed. Not sure what to do with this one, I do all my shopping at Tesco's so could I 'make' money on this one?
Alliance & Leicester - got it with my account, never used and don't know the pin. I guess I should really cancel this one. I don't really need it.
HSBC - THis is the one I use if I need to, but now pay off every month. Recently only used it to pay my car insurance in whole for the year as it was much cheaper, and got the money together to pay it off before interest kicked in.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi guys - well car bills may total screw with my paperhat figure as I may need to borrow some money back to fix or replace. Oh's car wasn't too bad, but they've identified tons of work that ideally should be done on mine... trying to identify what of that is essential but in the desirable column they got to £2K+ At the last service their desirable column was £800 so seems to have got considerably worse over the last year.... It may not be worth fixing and I may need at some point soon to buy a new one instead.... Do I have to adjust my paperhat fig downwards if that happens?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Cars are a pain which is why I want to get rid of mine before something major goes wrong with it, it hasn't been serviced since we have had it (about 3 years), it's had new brakes, tyres, oil and filter but not much else.
Tirlitten - I find A&L the best card EVER, they always give me balance transfer deals, I always get one after the other, when one expires I get another one so I like to keep that one in fact have done a couple of transfers to it as my Lloyds has just reverted to about 24%.
Got a headache again today, I've done the Euromillions, I could really do with winning a bit of money, even if it's only a couple of hundred (I'm not greedy). If I win the Jackpot (£12m) I'll pay everyone's debts off on this thread so send lots of win vibes!!!!Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Thanks CMD - They are both getting a bit better, DD2 is the worst, her poor little face, at least we have medicine for it for her, her eye is very sticky, I'm wiping it with cooled boiled water but it hurts her so she doesn't like it much, will have to go to the Chemist tomorrow and see if I can get any drops for it.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

Hi chiconoa and welcome to MSE you have found a fab forum for help.
The best place to start is to complete a 100% honest SOA (statement of affairs) which lists all your incomings, outgoings, debts etc. I will pop a link below which takes you to a form to complete. Once you have done this pop a new thread on this board and lots of lovely advice will follow.
You have definately come to the right place for help

Hope you won TMD - could do with a little extra help right now! Been eyeing up cars on the net - reckon I would need to spend about £3.5K to get something decent but since I am currently jobless should probably wait. If I wait tho - probably get next to nothing for my car (which probably needs scrapping)Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
