  • HI everyone - I hope everyone has a fab xmas and that the kids aren't too ill. funnily enough my DS came down about an hour after bedtime saying he felt really ill too - hope he's okay for tomorrow.

Just found out OH spent £92 on jewellery for me which to be honest I don't like at all. Couldn't hide it and he says I've ruined his christmas. I was also cross to be honest at him spending £92 - when I would have been quite happy with £20-30. Unfortunately I said that to him as well. Not my most tactful moment...

    Roll on tomorrow lol

    Oh Kack!

I hate it when that happens and just had to come along and say, been there done that! you aren't the only one!!!

    Happy Christmas Paper hat challengers

It's just us and the kids today, everyone is ill except me although I'm sure I'll get it soon.

Roll on later when we can relax and watch TV

  • Hi CAFCGirl - our day was OK thanks! How was yours?

Had a bad night with Alisha she wouldn't settle and was crying on and off from 11.30pm until 1.45am when I finally rocked her off to sleep, I was so tired after being up until 1.30am the night before.

Kids were meant to go to my parents tomorrow but Lexie has a bad cough and runny nose so will have to put my parents off until Sunday so she can have another day or so to get better, my parents are 66 and 70 and have just got over a bad cold so don't want to risk infecting them again.

Just saw that Ebay have a 5p listing weekend this weekend for Private sellers using Auction or Auction with Buy It Now, so will be getting lots listed this weekend - excellent have so much to get rid of.

    Have a good afternoon/evening.

    Thats good about Ebay!

Sorry to hear the kiddies still arent well, no fun being ill anyway let alone at Christmas...
Hope you can catch up on some sleep tonight though...

Mine was really chilled and laid back. DH did really well with my presents and was really chuffed with his, and how many he got for what I spent....
I think it might actually have opened his eyes to when you shop around, pay attention etc you can get a lot for not a lot of money. he had so many presents to open!

Just relaxing back at ours now before work tomorrow, going to write my new years resolutions tonight as well i think.....
Feeling much calmer and serene after yesterday, really needed it...

    Onward to 2009!

  • Hi all

I hope that everyone had good Christmas days.

I just got back from the sales. I mad the STUPID stupid mistake of going to Oxrford Street. It was utterly unbearable and you could barely move on the pavements let alone in the shops. The pavements were so crowded that people were nipping in and out of the road to avoid the cram even more than usual. Someone actually got hit by a bus just as I was walking by on the far side of the pavement, I hope they are OK, I have checked on the news but there is nothing about it up there.

CAFC - glad that OH is starting to come round to our (DFW) ways of thinking

tmd - so sorry to hear that your girls are sick, I hope that things ease up for you (and them) soon

i say he's coming round..... might be because he laid up on the sofa feeling sorry for himself!

Just missed my 50k on dooyoo.... might try and hit it by the end of the weekend!

  • I second that - onward to 2009, can't wait actually to get debt busting again so will be getting lots on Turbolister for tomorrow and Sunday, kids are not going to my parents tomorrow now as Lexie was sick earlier on (phlegm) so I reckon another day of rest and she'll be OK to go away, I was so looking forward to the break. Alisha is still ill so it will be good for them to go away so she doesn't give it back to them.

Kids bedtime now so a bit of a peaceful evening hopefully.
