Skiing in America, some friends and OH are going and I have now decided that I want to go too. I can't ski btw, so there will be ski hire, clothes, lessons, apres ski etc etc on top of the cost of the holiday. Hopefully booking on Monday.
I shouldn't feel :T but I do!! I will have to use my five day gap between one 100 day challenge and the next to buy my ski wear in as clothes are in my 'no buy' list - :rotfl:. Am thinking TK Maxx could be a good bet, although will shop around first.
I reckon I will need trousers, jacket, gloves, few pairs of socks, some thermals, goggles, hat and am planning on spending £50-70 so watch this space. I guess I can always wear the trousers when I am in the flat with the heating off - lol (and I will make sure my coat is servicable for wearing normally as well as on holiday)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

PAID - that sounds a nice holiday (although I hate the cold so wouldn't go skiing myself).
My dream once I've paid off my cc is to save to take my 3 girls to Hawaii, I've been twice before, first time was in September 2001 (was there when the planes hit the World Trade Centre - was very scary getting home after that). I also went in August 2003 after I sold my house to move in with bf I used some of the profit to take my parents, had a fantastic time both times although was ill with bad flu the second time so the end of the holiday was ruined.
I paid £65 off my M&S credit card so that comes off tomorrow, roll on January when debt busting becomes a priority.
Will be back later - dinner nearly ready now - yum yum, roast port, roast potatoes and veg.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
PAID - sounds like a great holiday. TK Maxx is a good bet, also Aldi had ski stuff in last winter - not sure if they've got any now but might be worth a look. :rotfl:at the idea of wearing the trousers indoors - but then again, why not?0

Thanks for the suggestion Snow White, I had completely forgotten about the 'budget supermarkets' I don't have an Aldi but now that you have mentioned it I am sure that I have seen bits and pieces in Lidl £34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Sounds like a great holiday PAID. Haven't been ski-ing but I would say it is great fun. Do you think you will defo go? I don't know what is in the water but I don't feel a bit guilty about my spending! It's weird.

Naughty, naughty.... holidays abroad! I don't necessarily think you should feel guilty if you then stay on track the rest of the year - but don't let it be the tipping point into "going mad" and guilt free shopping. That's what got most of us here in the first place.
Parent talk over....We will have some holidays or short breaks later in the year - but I won one of mine thro a survey site and altho I have to pay up front I can claim it back. We should have been going on holiday in Jan but we decided to lose our deposit  instead as we know we can't afford it. It would have probably been at least another £500 spend and it would have been really bad timing from a financial and job perspective....
I've been really good this weekend. I didn't go shopping as such. Altho I did pop in an Au Naturelle that was next to Halfords - we had to get a new car light. I was really proud as in total in Au N we spent.... £4!!!! That's about the cheapest w/e I've had since I don't know what.... There are some benefits to a) being too busy and b) already having bought xmas pressies! I've now sorted OH's secret santa pressie from stuff I already had and later will post piccies on the finished baskets thread of my nephews pressie. I am really chuffed with it!:j

We are going on holiday this year to Lithuania, my brother and his fiancee (who is Lithuanian) are getting married there in the middle of August, I'm looking forward to it, have to start saving for that now, not sure how much flights will be for 5 of us (do you have to pay for 1 year olds?).
Just sold a few things on Ebay (Personal) so another £8.88 before fees, every bit helps, already have £68 in Paypal so if they pay ASAP I can transfer some more to my bank account later for the next bill that comes in.
Am going to try and wrap all the purpleness later ready to post tomorrow or Tuesday, I better e-mail my friend and make sure she still lives at the same address first as I can't remember when I last e-mailed her (feel so bad).Sealed Pot Challenge #0160
