Had a really weird nights sleep and even though its my day off I've ended up getting up pretty early (normally about hallf 9 on my days off) and my neck and shoulders feel a bit better today.
Got a lemsip hot blackcurrant drink thing on the go to try and get rid of the last straggly bits of my cold.
Today I want to get through at least 2 reviews..... and then check through all my accounts and see where we're at.....
Oh yeah and must write my letter to Santa today :rotfl:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hiya CAFC,
I had a really bad sleep as well yesterday. Usually I sleep really well but I had money thoughts going through my head, not in a bad way but just wondering how best to pay everything.
Hope you get your reviews done!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Morning CMD,
Post up your options hun and we'll see if we can help....
My debt payments for this month are all done bar one credit card payment, so a fairly slow month this month....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Thanks CAFC,
I only really have 1 option, to pay off the credit card asap and then to tackle the loan but I was just going through different scenarios. For example OH should be due some tax back in April so I was working out what to do with it. Realistically though, it will pay off the credit card. Then I was thinking about if he got part-time work after Xmas how I could pay off more etc etc.
Yes, people seem really determined to get rid of their debt in 2009. I have joined a couple of more challenges although this is my favourite one. Awwwww!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Double awwww....
I feel ultra special now....
Do you know how much your OH will be getting back?
How much have you predicted you'll have paid off your credit card by May?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Realistically, I will only be able to pay back about £1500 by May, if OH gets a part-time job that will rise to £2500 and if he gets tax back it could be about £1000 so that would be £3500 tops. I will try my hardest to get as much paid off but even if I get 1/2 of it paid off it won't look too bad.
I might apply for another credit card in June as that will be a gap of 6 months. When I got my Experian report last month I wasn't on the electoral roll (despite OH sending off the form) so I sent another form off, but I have an awful feeling that this is why I was rejected for a Sainsbury's card as my name might not be on the roll. It's such a shame they don't tell you why cos my credit history is not too bad at all.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Well yeah 50% of the amount in 5 months is a really top effort!
Is your OH full time at uni? What course is he doing?
6 months between applications is pretty good, like you say your file was looking good, so sounds like that is the one thing working against you....
Just done one review on dooyoo, so thats something achieved this morning, organised a redelivery for my book which was ordered but was too big for our letterbox.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Thanks CAFC, you have really motivated me there.
OH is doing a music course and it is 3 days a week, although there is a lot of studio time as well. He is finished in July.
Well done on the review, I can't motivate myself for Dooyoo at the moment. Will try and do a review later on or this evening. It is prob cos my balance is low again, after cashing in an Amazon voucher!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yay, my expenses have been paid so another £43 off my credit card. Only have another £10 to pay off until I get paid in Dec so I am hoping the excitement of Xmas will take my mind off the debt-busting!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
