How can my brother avoid the sack ??

After a brief read, it seems that the odds are truly against him!
I would like to wish him all the best in the outcome.
If your brother is entitled to sick pay, he could try to go off work for stress?
Tell him to try and milk the system for all its worth...
Basically my advice to him is to not argue all the points and compare his behaviour to others etc as that will make him come across as argumentative etc
I have told him to act humble , professional and apologetic, also h sent an email to HR yesterday confirming his attendance and intention to show the company he loves working for them etc etc
Its worth a go , but i agree he`s in the bother...0 -
I think the most he could hope for is a stay of execution.
If I were in that position I would ask that if the company would give me 3 months on probation and that I would use that time to leave the company gracefully ,whilst doing everything in my power to assist the transition for my replacement.
Explain to them honestly that the effect of being dismissed in this climate would be a massive handicap for finding future work.
I think an organised retreat is the best that can be hoped for in this situation.
Even a month would be long enough to leave without the effect rippling on to the next job .0 -

Should Conor and Zebedee be reported and face a hearing for using vulgar language in this thread?0

did i miss something here?0

Ah, Custardy, poor thing. Is the society you keep so 'soaked and you so immersed in vulgarity and crassness that you do not even notice when foul-mouthed notes are posted?
"If me undressed you like…" etcetera.0 -
DGJSaver, Any news on your brothers job? Was he sacked, has the meeting gone ahead yet?
cheers,

That letter he received is a well written letter. Its makes a string of accusations, but if you read it carefully you will note that rach accusation is backed up with evidence.
Have to say, I thought it was quite a poorly written letter, quite amateur-ish...as for the "evidence", I think it just stopped short of saying "we've got you now, sunshine" - very thinly veiled, bordering on intimidation.
Hope everything works out OK, anyway...0
