  • Thinking about getting one of these for hubby for xmas. Been looking out for a good deal. Anyone gone for the 3 yr warranty? Any views on whether it's worth it. Has anyone gone through the cashback process? Does it seem straight forward? Any help appreciated as bit scared to press the BUY button! Thanks

hi bargain. i purchased mine thru the btshop and got them the next day. when they shipped them i got the invoice as a pdf via email. i clicked the link from btshops page to get cashback, and the process was easy. hp perform the cashback by bacs, so you put your bank account details in, but hp do say it can take up to 45 days to process.

i did one of these last year when i bought my own laptop, and i think it was 10-14 days before i got the email that the money was going to be creditted to my bank account, the money was there 3 days later.

i dont think you have anything to worry about, as btshop and hewlett packard are pretty reputable retailers!!
  • Thanks fuzzy. Gonna go for it. I've searched the model on BT and going through them as sounds easier. Might have to borrow it from time to time, it's much better than mine!
  • Just wanted to say thanks. I was after a laptop for DD for her X-mas and the only ones I could find sub £300 were only 1GB.
She's really pleased and says thanks for spotting it too. :A

hey. Just wondering that those who have bought this laptop, does it include wireless facility? Is it a glossy screen? Is there any other info i should know before i put my order? The spec on the site is very limited. Also how was the service with BT? I've read quite a few reviews which suggest that BT are not the best people to deal with. How was the delivery?

Any help and info much appreciated.
    Cheers

I am v tempted by this - it's for my son for Christmas - does anyone have an opinion about when to buy for Xmas - is it worth waiting for another month or so to get higher specs for the price, or Christmas offers? I'm not sure what to do!
