Thank you OP my laptop has just arrived after lots of phone calls&emails apparently it is a site often used by fraudsters so my credit card company would not make the payment by the time I'd actually got through to someone they were out of stock.Anyway by some miracle after ringing with my debit card details I got 1 so a big thanks to all for your help and advice.
Also thanks to divadee with the advice about setting it up in advance that will keep hubby nice and busy!I would have had it wrapped by now if you hadn't said that so that DD didn't see it before christmas

Fab, mine came today - all set up and ready for DD's Christmas. I also did the cashback thing and it seems to have gone through OK as well.

My first lappy has arrived, yay, well actually it's for my sons 12th birthday. Should be able to set it up okay (with your advice) but how do I make recovery discs? Sorry.
