The 1 GB version is still worth it at 259.99. Just add another 1 GB RAM module for ten pounds or so. The 120 GB HDD will be at least adequate for most. Link in post #4.

Why not get those Recovery discs done and out of the way? One set for you and another for the 'silver surfer'. :)

Already got a set done from my lappy earlier this year hence no rush..... i'll sort it before it gets delivered to the relatives though...... backup backup discs :D

Did anyone buy this deal with the 3 year warranty for £399?

Just wondering if anyone has any details of the actual cover you get as there were no details included with the Laptop.

I must say I am pleased with the deal - have already had email confirmation for the cashback claim too.

    Thanks.

Don't have any details, but I was v tempted - spent ages trying to find out what the warranty actually was (BT Shop didn't get back to me), but HP do so many versions it was impossible to tell what you would be buying - a 3 yr full on site warranty would have been excellent, but as i say, it could have been anything.....
  • recived my laptop late yest, so happy it arrived will take advice about setting it all up but have to do it in secret as its a xmas pressie, dont know how to claim cashback though just wanted to thank fuzzy cheers for the tip x

Yes, I did a search on the BT site and the cost was something like £184! - but as you say I may not have the same cover????????

I await details from BT (if they get back to me) - but hopefully it will be worth the £60 extra that I paid.
