Ok I have a couple of questions that I thought I would pop here rather than bombard you with emails! Especially as others might have the same qu also ... Is the pink square area a green house or cloche? And what does staging mean? I think there are blue square with RM on under September- what does this mean? How long will you keep them in if they are?

    right here goes -

dougierobino - i with Yategirl i sow in mainly in root trainer and loo rolls and cell trays. The plants are much stronger grown this way. Beetroot and carrots are sown in situ. Parsnips are sown in situ but as a backup also sown in loo rolls to fill in gaps. If your short of space invest in a mini greenhouse about £14 they take no room up and are great for seedlings

JHKE- as well as growing growing beans in an arch we sometimes do wigwames of sweetpeas and beans i just leave a gap so the children and get inside. get them to paint tyres bright colours and when cut in half they can mark the edge of your plot. This winter my chicken feed supplier is letting me have as many pallets as i want so I'm going to paint the wood to edge the paths/beds plus will use them to make compost bins. One must is a sandpit that you can cover. I'll put my thinking cap on for any other ideas.

naff on photo's and i'm still the same as you i love seeing other peoples allotments. But i am going to take some photo's for 2009 as i'm thinking of writing a book with menu plans using veg in season along side growing veg aimed at the kitchen gardener. someone has wispered in my ear and i'm thinking about it.

RebekahR - the area edged in purple/pink is a polytunnel and in places is 7ft high inside. Staging is basically workbench area. Mine is a couple of doors at the moment hope to make removable ones out of some wood.

    R/M ?????
    Kind Regards
    Maz

Thanks for the plan, I am going to print it off so I can have a good look, and then start making some lists.

When Asda sees a dramatic drop in its fruit and veg sales, we know who to blame ;)
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Thank you very much for the plans.
  • I've been wanting to create something like this for ages but dont have the experience nor courage to make one.

From the comments so far I think this will be the best thing i've got since starting gardening,
