Aaaww thanks Alto, I'll have the onion soup with granary roll and just a teeeeensy slice - no, bigger than that - of the victoria sponge, that's it, the one with jam and cream, mmmmmmmmm:eek: Oh, and a tall mug of hot choc please............
How's everyone today? Seems to have been a quiet weekend? Weather is pretty foul today but I bet Horace is out there, quilted to the eyeballs, chopping logs and hewing coal - cheers Horace, you are keeping the cafe fires burning and the whole place cosy - specially for these darn cats, dogs, mice.........................
Anyway, I had quite a busy weekend so have brought in some of my homemade mincemeat (with or without added booze), some bottled apples in cider and ginger syrup, and some marmalade for the toast -places box of jars in the pantry.
Have a cosy day:T0 -
Bitterly cold here this morning, too, quite a lazy wind blowing.
Be careful with the soup, it'll be a bit hot....
Chocolate cake available for afters ...0 -
Dragon staggers in trying to shut the door with a back paw. Okay coffee cake, fresh packages of coffee of varying strengths, a humungous tub of hot chocolate mix, fresh bread, packets of nibbles and some home made lebkuchen to try.
Hmm is that some carrot and orange soup I see? and yes a slice of chocolate cake would go down nicely as well!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Well that's good M.E - you're very welcome, pull up a chair/sofa,bean bag/mattress, plonk yourself down and place your order:A
Dragon - you've scorched the doorframe again:eek: could you try to breathe a bit less fiercely when you come in - unless the fire needs lighting of course:rotfl: .....but thanks for the goodies.
Alto - time you put your feet up too. Here, sit next to M.E and have a chat, I'll bring a tray of lunch.0 -
I made it to the library and back, and only slightly soggy! I live on a steep hill and I had trouble finding a crossing place this morning because water is pouring down the road; the drains are full at the bottom so I hate to think where all that water will end up
I'll help myself to a mug of tea and a chicken and stuffing sandwich, just a smidgeon of cranberry sauce too, then I'll settle in a corner and get on with some paperwork... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Greetings all, one very soggy Wolf reporting for duty. Anyone got a towel?
I'm a bit growly today; I was supposed to visit the GP for a meds check tomorrow, Mr LW has booked a day off specially to take me, and the bloomin' surgery phoned and cancelled!
Oh well, a nice mug of black coffee with a tot of whisky in will see me alright.
And I've got home made cherry pie here if anyone'd like to try it.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Cherry pie please... I've got clotted cream to go with that, plus an espresso coffee please.
I think I need a virtual kick up the situpon but will settle for a comfy chair this afternoon.
Muscles ache... not usually associated with the weather but it is rather dull and miserable outside...
much, much nicer in here.

Horace staggers in looking rather blue - there's enough logs outside to last til Christmas and the coal is neatly piled in the coal house ready to go on the fire.
Needs a Bailey's latte and a slice of hot cherry pie.
Hope everyone ok today? Had to go out shopping this morning - great fun especially as it wasn't my money being spent plus I got to keep any change:j I nearly came home with a pair of boots but the zip was a tight and not zippy enough so they were left on the shelf - pity really as they would have been brought for my birthday (its soon). Oh and I was taken out to lunch - I had honey roast ham chips and egg - you must think me really bad because I packaged up some of the ham and bought it home with me:eek:0
