  • we don't - sorry - have a bird-bath - but the ponds were certainly iced over this morning. Not forgetting we had 1/2 inch of snow last week ....

Most of my cooking is home made - that way we know what we're eating ....
  • Hi all - Daisy we need you here, my house is filling up with sleeping cats...last count I had 5. Not bad but only 1 is actually mine. In her old age she has become quite friendly to the others - 'Come to my house, we have loads of food....We haven't got the heart to turn them out - so we feed them all.
Just been to Aldi for a shuffle around the shelves, didn't put me in the best of moods. So depressing, could be the dreak weather too.
Oft to try & cheer up with 'Little Dorrit' any good?? I read in the reviews it wasn't as good as 'Bleak House' giving it a whirl though...best..

Folks if you turn on your Avatars in User CP we'll be able to see what we all look like.

Just popped in to say hi and to apologise for not being around these last two days. Big mouth here volunteered her services to the local girl guides to help them plant 1000 trees (today I was told that it was actually 2500 that we planted:eek: ). I only physically planted 4 trees today (replanting some that the brownies had put in the wrong place) but I spent most of the day bashing in stakes and putting plastic tubes over the seedlings. I also mixed with a granddaughter of the cadbury family (they of chocolate fame) as they had donated the two camping fields to the guides, and with a local MP who certainly didnt mind shaking my rather wet and muddy hand:eek: I had a late lunch of homemade leek n potato soup (tasted a bit vinegary) with some homemade bread, followed by some birthday cake and a good old fashioned rice krispie cake. I am now stiff as I spent some time dancing around the room after I watched Lewis Hamilton become world champion:D
