jazz the y just replaced my power cable on extended warranty...but only becaus eit was accidental damage, they wouldnt replace the batteyr because it is a peripheral and was nto accidentally damaged.
call them in th emorning and ill cross fingers for you0 -
My laptop is no longer registering the power cable.
My warranty runs out tomorrow - eek! Will they take it on the last day do you think? Because they would technically be repairing it out of warranty.
The laptop was actually bought from a Disabled Students Grant, so not sure if it will be different. I had it repaired during the year - so I wonder if there will a warranty from then? But can't remember what the fault was.
My powercable for my laptop's playing up too. I think the wire right by the jack has been bent too far too long and now if it's not in that position it doesn't thinkg the wire's there. I *think* this is a replacement, because HP thought that a (unrelated) fault was to do with the power cable...hopefully I've still got the original one stashed somewhere....tho I may have to put up with a while before hubby makes enough headway with the sparerooms to be able to find it! We've still got a fair bit not unpacked:o
I was just gonna pop my head in and wave. Spending time with hubby this weekend (think we're gonna put Marley and Me on in a minuteI've been quiet cos I'm still resting a lot cos I'm so run down from all the wedding malarky. Sorry guys

well got new mattress ! old one could just feel the springs a tiny bit...the mattress was in garage, long stories..my brother was given a load of furniture 3x show rooms flats in lieu of wages .and all the family had some and spare bit's in garage...he needed to put dead car there so it had to be cleared out..some went on freecycle ..couple bits in mums spare room and he stuffed the mattress in my car even got the boot shut...exploding car nearly going along ! he open the boot and it sort of shoot out..i helped to bring in..which whacked me out for days ..hence not here !
damn thing did'nt fit in the bed frame about 3 inchs to long...(hand made thing ) so decided to put on top of old mattress as bed is very low to ground...i can roll out when leg's not working ! now i need a spring board ! to get in it !! it's sort of lot of foam and spring in side ..in a zipped case ..bit like a memory foam one ! ooo it's so comfy and soft but holds you well..and seems to be very warm when you lay on it..bit like electric blanket...sleep so much better as warm and soft on joint's...going to buy little step stool to get in !!
just off to do hot chocolate for all ....waves to all...and pets.the truth is out there ... on these pages !!0 -

hi again,
thanks for the welcome,
sorry ive not popped back sooner, OH & i picked up the lurgy, and i haven`t been human, even the dr thought it was a bit dubious ! (more barking than coughing) bit interesting when you can either cough or breathe, but not both,
i just wish it would `puddle off`, cos until it does i cant take my normal meds, ( ive got RA )
OH seemed to be getting away with it, but it will be his turn to see the dr later today , he sounds like a knackered steam train....( diabetic, asthmatic, etc already) last time he got a chest infection he ended up in hosp for a while, ( he wasn`t impressed )
as you can see from the time ive also given up on the idea of getting any more sleep, ho hum.....
even the cats think we are disgusting and are sleeping in which ever room we are NOT in,......
take care all....house keeper to >^..^<

Just rang the computer place - they are saying the computer was invoiced for on the 10th last year, even though it was delivered on the 19th. So they had a warrentee on a computer still in their care?
He's ringing Toshiba to ask, but computer companies love computers out of warrentee, so they can tell people to !!!!!! off!"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Hello Peeps
Sorry went a little AWOL last week, first week back wasn't very easy and spent a lot of the time very tired!!! Hh is home this week so will have help which will take the pressure off hopefully, now walking with NO sticks!!! :j Yay, not needed them that long before so hoping it's the sign of whats to come
Am planning on asking boss for 2 weeks off beginning of Nov, I've been here a year and only had 1 weeks holiday since I started. I know the run up to Christmas is probably a bad time to do it but if he wants me here over the Xmas period then I need some time off to recharge, going to be an expensive 2 weeks though, 1 week will stay at home as step sons birthday is at the end of the week but 2nd week I'm going to go home to Mum and Dad, which will mean the kittys will have to go to cattery as we don't have anyone to look after them.
Hope everyone is ok.
Hope you manage to sort your lappy jazabelle
Hope you and your DH are feeling better soon catsmother

Morning everyone
Having a terrible few days, so much pain. Radiator next to bed doesn't seem to work anymore...lights come on, but it never feels warm to touch. Boyfriend is on his way now so hopefully he'll be able to fix it.
Need to phone about rent again, apparently they do payment plans which means I won't keep getting charged £25 for "rent is late" letters. Will also fill in forms about access to learning funds today, I don't think I'll get anything but I've been advised to try.
Problem is that everyone wants letters, and there isn't a post box for ages around here, it takes me half an hour to walk there. It's rubbish...
Hows everyone else?

*cough cough snuffle snuffle* I'll just take myself and my lurgy into the corner out of the way.
Had a wonderful time yesterday evening, Damh the Bard was in fine form; but woke up this morning with a filthy rotten cold - hurts to talk, can't breath, the whole nine yards.
Not been online all weekend, and there's too many posts for me to do justice to them by way of replying - and I feel too carp to concentrate on framing replies anyway. I have read them all though.:o
Supposed to be going to a CAMRA branch meeting tonight but at this rate the likelihood of me getting there is negligible.
Hope everyone's having a better day than me.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
