    I GOT THE JOB!
I didn't think I would, the role play was awkward, I turned up soaked by the rain, my eye was watering horrifically and my legs gave up half way through, but I did!
They will phone tomorrow or Monday with hours, starting date, etc.

Very tired and in pain now, will check back in later x
YAY!!!! :j:j:jWay to go Saucy! Get some rest, and recover from the experience now.

Hello all! Not been around much some major family issues at home which involved dad going missing for the day, police being called out, and huge suicide worries. He did spend the day by a lake wanting to kill himself, it wasn't until he put his hands in the water that he seemed to realise what he was doing... Kind of grounded him. He's getting some help from CMHT now, his pyschiatrist got a few words from mum (he wasn't going to see him for 3 months, despite him knowing he was suicidal!) etc. fun times! It was 2 weeks ago now and health still bad, appetite not good, energy still not back, used up alot of days' worth that day!

Poohbear with amitriptyline it takes 6 hours for it to reach its peak, and another 8 hours for it to get out of your bloodstream enough for you to not be feeling affects. So wanting to get to sleep @ 11, take at 6/7? then it should be a little better to wake up @ 8? make any sense?! :p sorry if not! I've been doing autogenic training (with a practitioner, on an 8 week course, 45/1hour sessions each) which is helping my sleep enormously, I love it! Can explain more if anyone interested, all to do with deep relaxation.
Saucy so sorry bf's gone, hope you're feeling less lonely soon x
Jaz sounds like you're doing a lot, go careful ;)
CWTA that sounds great, 8th is my birthday, big scary 18 ;) have a fav day at the zoooo! :D
elfen so sorry about medical! You poor thing, lots of hugs for you! xx

I've given in, and I'm going to college in my (brand new, much better than old one) wheelchair, have just got in touch with student services about an attach-on desk, as i do biology and the desks are too high! will mean i can write easier. I really should have done it sooner, but I do think the AT- autogenic training- has helped me to feel less nervous about seeing people who knew the "old" me in wheelchair. All supported when in lesson, legs aren't dying on the way in, new wheelchair v v comfy, as smaller, and easier to propel.

Heya, sorry I haven't been around....had ATOS medical, don't think it went at all well, broke down in tears a few times
Awww, (((HUG))) medicals are the pits. Chill for the rest of today if you can - hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Invasion sorry to hear about the worry over your dad. Well done on using the new wheelchair. Anyone worth their salt will understand that it's still "you" in there, just the legs aren't too good.

My landlady left a snake oil link on my Facebook...
Hi Tria. Was doing some research into the causes and symptoms of Fybromyalgia and came across this http://www.fibromyalgia-breakthrough.com/ Sounds promising to me!

She's one of the people who clearly don't believe I'm ill at all, and I know she won't leave me alone unless I respond... What do you guys think of this as a reply?

I appreciate your concern. It's a pity that the site fails to address the causes in those of us who have it as a secondary condition - my fibromyalgia was not caused all by itself. I've been hypermobile since birth, and that has caused a lot of damage to my body that would not disappear even if I did follow the things on this site. But I don't trust anything that asks me to pay for something that will supposedly cure me. I know plenty of people with fibromyalgia, even some who are in full-time jobs (with a milder form), and if this worked, I'd already have heard about it.

Thank you for the link, though.

You just look after you :o - how's the 'orrible bug thingy? Mr LW's got a cold now, too.
Well I'm not as chesty or coldy. The fluy thing has gone back to normal glands-raised and generally ill because I've done too much over the past couple of months state. The IBS symptoms have reared their ugly head after being prompted by the painkillers and have now irritated my system so it's gonna take a while to settle that back down to it's more normal state... Other than that the ankle is much the same and I'm still awaiting word from the physios as to when my "urgent" appointment will be. My GP (nice one, I saw him on wed) told me to chase them about it. Funnily enough tho, he also pretty much told me to keep my sister away from their surgery from now on!!
Just had to nrun down here to say I'vbe just won a day behind the scenes at Newquay Zoo! Going on 8th November and am so excited - really approve of zoos now I now they are conservation focussed.
lw Came specifically to say I think they have a pack of wolves so will say hello to them for you and get piccies where I can.
Will catch up with posts when I come back later.
    Hugs to all.
I won't even tell DH...he'd be far too jealous and immediately demand a zoo trip! Not that he's a big kid or anything...;)

    Ugh!
There is new research out for people with Fibromyalgia… that has helped hundreds of people like you slowly… but very effectively… reverse their condition.

And chances are, you won't hear about this anywhere else, because it isn't in the interest of pharmaceutical companies that you know about this.
I'm sorry but do they think we're imbeciles??? If there were a way to improve/cure Fibro I'm pretty sure the government would get in on it quick sticks cos we cost them a fortune in meds, benefits and equipment!!

I also love that he's done another book: "How To Be Happy All The Time - Anchor Yourself To Happiness!" Oh well, problem solved then eh guys? We just need to "anchor ourselves to happiness"!! WTH? As if I'd trust a shyster like that! (Too far??)

As for your landlady, I'd just say something like "Thankyou for your interest in my condition. However, after many years of dealing with my medical health situation, I'm now fully aware that, unfortunately, there are no "miracle cure"s for any of my conditions and have realised that it would be unhelpful for me to unfruitfully seek them. I'm glad some people seem to be seeing a benefit from that particular programme though."

    Morning all!

Trialia - Ugh, I hate miracle cures. Particularly ones on tacky websites that are very clearly crap!

bigzippy - sorry you're still feeling ill. :(

Invasion - wow, that's awful. Really sorry to hear that. I hope the wheelchair makes things easier though.

blackpaw - have fun with your friend!

Oh there were loads more people to say something to, but I have to rush off now!

Not looking forward to today - got to go to another office an hour away. My manager is driving me, but it's still the sitting for an hour part.

Just a little moan, but I am getting fed up on having to go to these stupid pointless meetings, which leaves me with half a day to do ALL my work. I was filled up three days a week with work, what makes her think I can do it all in a few hours? If she gave me a full day I would keep on top of it, but no. Also - why can't everyone come to my office for once?? Does driving put their muscles into spasm for four days afterwards? No. So why do I have to do it.

Next week I have training in London, so won't be in the office at all! :(

Sorry, had to get that out!

    Afternoon friends.

Trialia I had a quick look at that website - sorry, but if your landlady believes the claims there, she's more green than she's cabbage-looking. What a complete load of BS!

Jaz take it easy - don't, repeat don't run yourself into the ground trying to do all your work in half the time you should have to do it.

Paw have a good time - in fact have a coffee for me while you're there!:D

BZ your GP's right - keep chasing for your "urgent" appointment. It's the squeaky wheel that gets oiled, as they say. Hope you're a bit better today.

Pcl hope vets appointment goes well - will be keeping paws crossed.

I'm cream crackered today - Mensa meeting last night left me a bit frazzled as there were quite a few folks there, including someone who wanted to thoroughly grill me on Paganism. Need CHOCOLATE!!:D
