morning all
the part i hate about cross stitch is the backstitch/outlining when the main picture is finished. i always want to be starting the ext project instead.
saucy what sort of craft things would you enjoy if money was no object? id suggest decide on something, then google/look around the crafty forums, or mse has quite a few crafty threads...i think there was a christmas present making one last year full of great ideas actually. then when you ahve a idea of what you need look for those items individually on craft shops/ebay/etsy etc and see what is best value for money and were form iyswim. if the (cross stitch in my case)magazines come with a nice freebie i like i sometmes buy them, they are always packed full of ideas and list exactly what is needed for each thing so i an then go shop for the ingredients without having to figure out my own list.
kaj excellent choiceif posting here hasnt subscribed oyu to the thread, or if you want to change the email notifications form daily/weekly/instant click on thread tools and unsubscribe, then repeat and subscribe and it will let you set how often it emails you...i have t set to instant, which means i get a link to the first post i havent read since i was last here and saves me finding the thread or finding what page/where i was int he thread.

Hello everyone!
Ordered Tesco to come between 10-12am, so that boyfriend would most likely be here to help. He has to leave at quarter to 12, but I thought it'd be here by then...he's just gone, and it's not. There isn't too much, but there is milk and coke and frozen food and house basics and I really don't think I'll be able to get it all up here on my own. Spoke to reception but there is only one man on duty today and he can't leave his post, Tesco can't get it to my door because of security, so I'll have to run down, unload in the carpark, scan back into reception, down the corridor, up the stairs, into the lift and into my room. Nightmare!
I wish I had housemates! I was given a studio, so if I feel ill and stay in I'm not in anyones way. Nice, but not practical right now.
Boyfriend is being pulled all ways at the moment, I hate him not being here but his parents seem to want him home too. He's moved out before, but he seem's to be struggling more this time, and I'm not really welcome to go back with him. So this week I might lose him for 4 nights instead of 3.....Asked for someone to call me back re rent, but no call as yet, and I can't get through to anyone.
I'd love to scrapbook, but I don't know what I'd need and it seems so expensive...I'll look on ebay now, thoughWas awake most of the night in agony, so did some colouring in. Made me feel about 10 but took my mind off the pain a little. Shattered now, though!

Boyfriend is catching the 7pm train over (he said he'd get the 6pm but I can't see him making it if he hasn't eaten yet) and I'm so excited about seeing him. Even after two years
If anyones got any ideas on things I can do to keep me busy, please let me know
Until then, I'll be on here driving you all mad :P
I havw started rag rug making. To start with it cost nothing as I used an old tapestry frame and just cut up the kids old clothes that were no lomger suitable for giving away. DH made me a progger from an old dolly peg and I scrounged a piece of hessian from an upholsterer. I only do a teeny amount at a time but after 3 years I have a rug. I find I can't do any fine work anymore so something bulky like rag rugging or matting is ideal. I miss the fine embroidery work but I am still being a bit creative:) I also get DD and DH cutting up fabric for me.
Should have said HI! to everyone. I have been away for a while as DH and I have both been poorly. Starting to feel a bit better but still zero energy.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Suep how are you and Diamond now? You mentioned you being poorly and Diamond being off her food - I meant to ask yesterday but it slipped my mind. And lw...fancy sharing that program? I was looking for something like that a while back!
Wait a sec while I have a look on jolly old Amazon.....
OK, looks like the version I have is no longer available from Amazon, but a further poke around the internet revealed this:
http://www.bmsoftware.co.uk/focusjanegreenoffsultimatecrossstitchgiftpack.htmWhat about baking? There's loads of threads and stuff on MSE with recipes and meal ideas for cheap meals and you could make tasty stuff for you and boyf and feel like you're contributing and less like you're burdening boyf??Right..i'm here, and this is where i am stayingi got confused, which isnt hard, as some of you may also relate to that feeling im sure that you understand..

Hi all
Had hydrotherapy again. It did hurt, but feel not so bad now. The other lady in the class had a different physio, and she kept doing all sorts targetting at her lower back, using different equipment. I asked mine for something like that, as I felt I was just working my arms and legs. He said everything is targetting at my back. I disagree. While it might involve my back - most movements do - but she got to properly stretch her lower back, something I'm desperate to do!
I must say my foot is killing me now for some reason!
I just treated myself to three new books from Amazon! They were only a penny each, so really just paying for postage. I won't mention I have a huge pile of books waiting to be ready already though!! Can't help myself sometimes!"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Jaz I have to try and keep off Amazon, or I'd be skint! Mind you, the last thing I had to order was a techie manual for Mr LW. I had £15 in Amazon vouchers, so I said I'd get it for him and use those. Silly paying out when there are vouchers sitting there....
I do think you're brave going for hydrotherapy; it'd scare me silly. But then, I'm a total wimp.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I love reading, I better check out Amazon and see if there's anything I'd read...was going to enter a story writing competition today but it closed early
Tesco guy was lovely, he bought it all up for me. Now to unpack it, and if I start feeling better, I've got lasagna and profiteroles to make for tonight
What does hydrotherapy involve? xSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Hydrotherapy is like physiotherapy, but in warm water. The hospital have a small swimming pool tucked away that I never knew about!
Being in the water supports your body, and allows you to do much more than you ever would out of the water.
They then give you exercises to do, depending on why you're there.
There are three other people in the pool as well, all doing their own exercises.
Oh, that was nice of the Tescos guy!
Soooooo jealous of the profiteroles. I love them.
I just started reading books by Torey Hayden. She is a teacher in a special needs school, and has helped many children who usually come from awful backgrounds. They're really well written and inspiring."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Does anyone have E4? They are showing my favourite ever show from the beginning. It's started today with the Pilot. The show is called Veronica Mars, and def should be checked out!
Please keep in mind though that E4 has a habit of cutting bits out."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0
