Ello me mateys. I am plain tuckered out after about 10 days of some appointment or other ever day. Am having a small flare up I think but luckily just with pain and aches rather than feeling really ill as well. Suppose I should be grateful for small mercies! *g*

Sending you all love and hugs, but haven't the braion to reply properly.

Hello!! I have managed tofind you all at last. I am a bit slow with IT now which is really bad as I used to teach IT.

We got home from Paris yesterday and had a great time relishing the warmth. We had temperatures around 24-26 oC each day. I was worried about how I would manage to get around but it wasn't too bad. The exception was the steps out of the Metro station near our hotel. At the end of each day I had to be helped, supported and sometimes dragged up the steps!!

:) The stars of my holiday were the toilet attendents who - every time- led me to the front of the queue, sometimes past 30 or more people patiently waiting, without me ever needing to ask:)

I also found that we could gain entry to museums and galleries free. DH was free too as my carer! We often had just fleeting visits to museums atc as I can't walk far and standing looking at exhibits is impossible.

Most of the time we spent on hop on, hop off buses. I forgot when I booked the river cruise that I would need to walk up and down steps to the Seine!!

On a different tack altogether I wondered if any of you have been diagnosed with meralgia paraesthetica along with FM/CFS etc. My GP has added it to my list of conditions but I think it may (just) be FM pain.

bevan840 - as far as I know working shouldn't affect DLA.

I'm on facebook too, will have to see if I can find you all. Just sent a request to the crocks cafe group. :)

Also - does anyone play the fairyland game there? I'm so addicted! You grow a garden, and there are loads of levels, and it can get quite complicated! Let me know if anyone is on there or wants to join, so I can find you!

Glad it cheered you up :) Was it how you expected/imagined?
Tbh I'd kept a totally open mind (my own wedding was so totally unconventional that I don't ever "expect" anything particular when someone gets married). But you really do look awesome in that dress, and you DH looks like a super chap.:o

I've finally gotten round to uploading some of the honeymoon photos (there's 187 and that's only selected ones!:o) onto Facebook. I know you're not on there, but if you PM me your email address I can send you a link thing that should let you see the pics :)
    PM will be duly sent.:o

Bless you lw. Have you got msn messenger or anything? If not what about getting it? I'd be happy to chat to you on there, and I'm sure pcl's the same :) There's little games you can play against each other on there too...if that's at all appealing?
I think there's something called Windows Messenger - is that the same thing? I've never investigated it because I can't type quickly or accurately enough to hold a coherent conversation - invariably have to edit my posts 2 or 3 times before hitting submit; and even then I often see typos I've missed. How do I go about contacting people on it? (Hel's teeth, I'm married to an IT techie and even he doesn't know the answer to that one!)LOL

Hi all, Im starting to think I shouldnt be in here. You are all so nice but I feel like a fraud as I only have epilepsy. Im not getting it across well but i know what I mean. i feel so isolated and lonely but just dont fit in anywhere online or in real life.
NO!! Sammy, don't leave us; you're our friend, and we'd miss you. Only epilepsy my @rse! It has a bad effect on your life when you have your seizures, and that's a heck of a lot for you to have to live with. Sweetie, I often feel like a total misfit - hey, if the guys here can put up with me, they can put up with anything LOL. You hang around, my dear, you're wanted andvalued. It's like Pcl (I think it was her) said, if we don't always answer directly, we're not ignoring you, just having the usual battle with brainfog.

Kaj and Bevan hi, nice to see you. I've read your posts on the Half Dead Thread - I still read it but don't post there any more.

Poohbear glad you've made it to the Cafe. Glad you enjoyed Paris; it's somewhere I've never been.:o

CwtA Hi there my friend - may your flare be a little one.

Washing machine has just finished, so need to go and hang my undies out to dry now :eek::eek:

*Waves* to everyone I haven't mentioned by name.:o

    hi poohbear,

your trip to paris sounds good. im going to Paris end of the month, how did you manage to get such good service. i have a disabaled blue parking badge, but thats all the evidence i have. did you take that to prove your health?

sorry if that is a rude question, but i am just curious. and would appreciate any tips on how you managed. i am quite nervous as i am going alone with my 2 sons.

sounds like you was looked after really well, which is really good :)

  • LOL lw ask bz about my typing on windows messenger ahem. it confuses even me at times when i cant translate my own typos.....it is fab though, i much prefer it to the phone, and doesnt matter how long it takes to write a reply or 10, because other person can sneak off and eg read here at the same time....just gets confusing when you reply to someone else in the wrong window.

and im currently using ebuddy to access windows live messenger so anyoe who wants feel free to add me just tell me who you are so i accept.
purplecat@catlover.com.au (which is a dead email used only for messenger)

i missed the previous? question about dla and working...but dla is non means tested and can be awarded while you are working. me starting a viluntary job had no effect on my dla award, and i know peole who started work work and proved that added to their care needs rather than being an improvement in condition.

jazz check your pms for a link to the group....im not posting it here because dont know if we are allowed and dont want to be told of by teacher (or another thread shut down) and
