Since Icesave crashed and froze our accounts last week, we are really no wiser as to what is happening to our money!

Who is paying us and when will we receive the forms, what is the estimated time we will see money back?

These are all question we want an answer to!
Yes thank you Gordon Brown & Alistair Darling for saying we will all get our money back, but we need to be kept informed.
If we search the FSA or FSCS there are no new updates, we have to search news sites for the latest information.

We were told by the FSCS we would hear by last Friday, now it's this Friday, I have read somewhere that forms will go out next week?
While I appreciate that things do take time, and unlike some people we don’t need the money now, it's for our future, I sympathize with those that need the money now or very soon.

We need to be kept informed; it's not too much to ask is it?
GB, AD, FSA & FSCS give us a quick but regular update please (it takes minutes to keep us informed), stop the concern, worry and speculation of the 300,000 UK investors!

    Has anyone seen this?

  • I still cannot and the people on MoneySupermarket.com can't either. It was working late last night.

http://icescam.com/index.php for me no problems just log in and out again to try and all ok

As you seem to be the only one who can access the new site, perhaps you can try to bring it to their attention that we're all having problems and can't access the webpage! Thanks very much if you do.

Anyone now having problems connecting to the 'Icescam' site itself?
Yes, I joined yesterday and now can't get to page either.

    I get the message:

Firefox can't find the server at https://www.icescam.com

Perhaps it is the use of the word 'scam'? (Is that too simplistic?) Or, perhaps, - in this age of seeming - the server is, simply, down.

Perhaps this is simply meant to test our trust yet again.

It's more likely to be a DNS problem with your ISP or something similar, I've just gone straight to the site using Firefox 3.

What does this mean in simple English for those of us that are not computer literate? And what can we do about it if anything?

Sorry, I think my Firefox is fairly up to date - I have no problem reaching other sites - have just cleared cookies, temporary files, etc. on my computer and still cannot get into Icescam - and have tried as well on the latest Explorer with no success.

    Any other suggestions?

I use OpenDNS and the site doesn't exist according to them  (first time I've ever tried to get on the site)

Depending on who is hosting the site, maybe they've exceeded their 'hit target' for the current period so have shut it down.

What is so special about this site anyway?
