I agree. With the official updates on the main savings page having become inconsistent at best - even in terms of the FSCS published information - this does appear to be a much more comprehensive and reliable outlet. Moreover - at the moment - it is one which is at very least not visibly fiscally subscribed to by other financial products.

None of us can afford to be that innocent any longer.

After deleting all the tabloid emotive language, this article says nothing we don't already know from the FSCS website. It actually says a lot less using more words.

Indeed it is a lazy article and doesn't even mention the interesting thing in the FSCS posting last week was that they were working on an alternative to a form based payout. I can only speculate but perhaps Icesave UK will be unfrozen and either transferred to another entity (such as KE) or we're allowed to operate our accounts to withdraw the funds. That would be quicker and cheaper than having to go through 300000 forms.

There I was promoting this new site yesterday and now it's disappeared. Anyone know what's happened to it? I thought it looked good and therefore joined yesterday.

Nope I can't get onto the website. "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" !! And other people on this site and Moneysupermarket forum are having the same problem. Wonder why!
