so am i right in saying they will knock of £2000, what did your dad pay for the car gaz_jones?
Can people share their discounts from bmw dealerships please? and experiences0 -
I tried negotiating in one dealership, managed to get 1500 off a soon to be replaced old model 1 series. Gave up on this approach, went through brokers Broadspeed and got 3500 off and the same trade in valuation.
Broadspeed are currently listing X5's with about 5000 off, depending on model:

Shaz,
As a guide to help you decide on what offer to place here is my experience.
I bought a 123D second hand from BMW 4 weeks ago.
This model being quite economical and powerful is quite in demand at the moment.
The car was 10 months old, 3200 miles and was an internal BMW co car--not a demonstrator and was in perfect condition.
I offered low on 3 different cars and played one dealer off against another untill I negotiated a suitable deal with one of them after 3-4 days of playing a waiting game.
Cars are not selling at the moment so you can afford to let them sit on an offer.
I ended up paying £10200 less than the car's new list price which I was pretty happy with.
The dealer made a loss but needed to shift metal, they had purchased it from BMW 5 weeks previously for 1300 more than I paid---I saw their invoice.
Basically go in low and let them sit on your offer for a while, if it was too low you can always raise it.0 -
