    Helloooo bob, and others,

How are you today, freezing your foundation garments off??

Its -6 here today, so I am going to try all me new walking gear out ( I always check after typing walking that I have put the L in!! ), the breathable, moisture thingying stuff.
Any of you Yorkshire 'uns ancy a walk up Kinder Scout or summat at aome point??
    Silly joke of day,
Anthropologist walking through jungle, trying to find evidence of monkeys using tools like Humans.
Sees monkey in a tree with a banana in one hand and a tin-opener in the other.
Dictates...'evidence of tool use, but appears not to realise that you do not need a tin-opener to open a banana'
Monkey overhears this, shakes head slowly, peels banana with teeth, and reaches behind himself for can of custard...

well, it tickled me........but I am 'easily pleased'.

    Happy 9th of January.
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

....one-way ticket to Portugal booked !

Good luck with the walking in this weather brrr! I only nipped into Preston for a bit this morning and i was so numb i had to force myself into Debenhams:rolleyes:

Have had the interview and looks like they are already coming up with the goods as it were! Have had an email already with jobs available for me:D And i will be on my full rate which will be excellent dude:cool: :rotfl:

Otherwise we have another spate of illness in the house.DD2 has just gone back to college this week and caught some stomach lurgy..:o Her immune system is down still and it has knocked her for 6 with her diabetes. Hypo's all over the place, but she has got some of her appetite back so hoping that is a good sign, as she has requested Corn beef hash for tea..mmmm.

Mr.B is in full grovelly mode, especially after he found out i ended up cancelling one of those hotel deals ( i booked it in a mad moment for York) Well when he snuck into work i saw red and that was that..although i should have gone on my own, but not the same eh? So that is the end of my be nice to him bit for the year...phew glad that was over..back to mean old Mrs Bob:cool: :rotfl:

    Hope everyone else is well.

    Dont start!

Good news on the job front Bob.
4 miles to the next village and back, feeling hot (.... hot, hot, hot....altogether now! ) but not sweaty.

Peter Storm stuff may be cheap ( Millets ) but its v good. Breathable lycra-type shorts and vest very becoming;) . Good job I wasnt run over.

Poor DD, can she take stuff like echinacea to build up immune systems?

Hot Pepe eh?;) glad the stuff worked am humming along to the song :rotfl: Glad you weren't run over too..imagine the mess, Lycra and goo:eek: and not even matching:eek:  :rotfl:

I buy echinacea, but have been told the organic stuff is best so will get that as well as some more of the good acidophilus as she was also born with a bowel condition..so it doesn't take a lot to knock her off kilter.

I was having a look in outdoor world today, so i may invest..there is also Winfields of Haslingdon which seem pretty good at catering for walkers as well.
