They were the ONLY ones that rellies ever gave us when I was a teenager. Whereas we hankered after "mahoghany" :rotfl:

And in them days the shops didn't allow exchanges the way they do now so that's what we had to wear. We called them chicken legs.

I remember them well. My brother used to go to the shop on Christmas Eve, for three packs of American Tan tights and three packs of Chocolate. Tights for the girls and chocs for the blokes...life was so much easier without expense electricals:rotfl: :rotfl:

I always remember once he bought us all some with reinforced gusset, they were quite uncomfortable and looked awful with white shoes.:o :rotfl:
Forgot to add that i hankered after *sherry* coloured ones for some reason.

I did find that i had an extra £100 from somewhere:confused: I am sure it is not right, so will leave in bank for a couple of days just to make sure.

And guess what my mate bought over for a laugh today?

american tan tights..that was the bright spot in an otherwise dull day.LOL:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope everyone else has been good.:D

Really? You actually have a pair of American Tan tights in your possession right now? They'd be worth a fortune on ebay! So .... what are you thinking about? And what have you been baking? I managed to bake a crumble yesterday, v proud of myself.

e-bay is brilliant for getting rid of "vintage 70's" carp

I've got rid of loads of Popeyes "this may come in useful someday" stuff. :D
Someone somewhere will be putting on Abigails Party and he'll be gutted that I did though..........
