BOB'S Cunning Plan

They are books by a local author called Vera Water's she is absolutely fab, in my humble opinion..She was a councillor for police men, and victims of crime, worked for years in Mental institutions and her stories are full of courage and hope..They are very uplifting and as with all the best ones, she too has been through the mill.
I wish i lived in my three bedroomed alone sometimes..then i would have loads of rooms for my books..one of my ambitions would be to have a proper study room/library..*sigh*Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I've seen her name at the library, if you like them I'll check them out.
I'd love a proper study too. One of the bedrooms is my bedroom (obviously!) the third is my counselling room, and the second is a complete mishmash - it has a huge double bed that gets used about 3 times a year, plus assorted storage plus a cross trainer. Sigh. I need to get rid of *so* much more stuff.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I already own them KC, thanks anyway..i gave EL a couple as well..which was the conversation..but you must read them yourself if you get time, the books are made up of short stories more vignettes really, but very good take on things.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Beanie, I think its Vera Waters, s on the end. The first when I googled just now was verawaters.com (didn't put the www on the start so it doesn't go linky on us).... hope that helps.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yep it does have the 's' on the end..sorry. That is her website as well, one of the nice things i find about her is her approachability as well. I emailed regarding some information..thinking it was a general one, and she emailed me personally and thanked me for taking the time and trouble to read her books..such a lovely woman.
Well i managed Woolies today, with my £5 voucher..and bought my brother's baby girl a Dora the explorer jacket..retailed at £18 instore, gave us 20% off and the voucher made it very worthwhile, also bought a load of wrapping paper for 80p so can reccomend a shufty.
Also as MR.B wanted to spend some of his bonus, we decided it should be a family thing and bought a Wii bundle from Comet..spent £225 on that but reserved and got discount from quidco ( i hope because i went through accessories and then comet) Anyway apparently they are as rare as hen's teeth around here and across the country..we got stacks thrown in, so i am hoping that will ease him a bit..it still leaves over £700 of his bonus to throw at stuff. It is the reason he was in a bad mood the other day after i finally managed to get it out of him...i am just a bit unsure as i wanted a neutral Christmas but the bonus was unexpected and he is actually due extra as they miscalculated the %..And it will start us off nicely for the New Year..
Off to guides tonight so will have a mooch on diaries later.
