  • Cooked rice is included as part of some of the ready prepared meals sold in supermarkets and consumers seem to survive these okay!

  • I never eat all the rice from the Chinese so use up the rest next day and lived to tell the tale so far!

I cooked the chicken in the SC yesterday and then tonight made a risotto but there is loads left over. Can I reheat this tomorrow?

It will be the 2nd reheat so my guess is not but it very tasty and it would be a shame for it to go to waste.

Note to self-half recipe next time!

If you're bored with it, freeze it but otherwise I can't see any reason why you can't reheat it.

A much nicer thing to do with leftover risotto is to make arancini - little balls or patties with the cold risotto.

Roll them in flour, dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs.

Shallow fry till crisp and hot. Even more delicious is to mould the rice around a little nugget of cheese before frying.

cant see why it couldnt be re-heated tomorow. you may need to add a little liquid as the rice will have absorbed some overnight.

I reheat leftover risotto in the MW at work for lunch :D

As this has fallen from the front page ofOS, I'll add it to the existing thread to keep ideas together.
