Dear Santa/God

Dear Santa/God

Due to the credit crunch and the now cost of feeding my family & the dog, clothing them and keeping them warm can I please ask YOU to provide all the presents this year, don't worry we don't expect anything too expensive a miracle or two will do, failing that a an Xmas dinner for 6 and a few chocolate coins.

If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it

(Santa asked me to forward this on)

    Dear Panda Family

So sorry to hear you are feeling the pinch in the current climate. Things are the same up north, and i'm not talking about the weather. You think Iceland have problems? The elves are talking about renaming the candy from crispy crunch to credit crunch and the wife has told me i'm not getting any new socks - i can just take some being warmed over someone's fireplace.

The season of good will isn't what it used to be. When i was a lad, down chimney, there was laughter and joy with the most basic of toys - no need for batteries, video games or expensive clothes. Nowadays the only season i'm finding is mentioned in the cookery books.

Miracles are hard to come by nowadays but then again, i guess it depends on how you define one. Not so long ago it would have been a miracle for Labour to nationalise anything - now nothing's safe. Didn't it warm your heart though to see young Tony give up £7bn of the rebate that little Maggie had negotiated with the EU. Big heart and a big pocket that man.

I can't make any promises as the purse strings are as tight this year as my tunic. Mrs Claus has everyone on a short leash - not that she's a scrooge or anything, she has much better legs, but i swear if she was any tighter she'd whistle when she farts.

No promises, but i'll see what i can do.
    Kind regards and season greetings,
    S. Claus

I am assuming your are both under 5 years old because:
    1. you are still believers
    2. one of you is named after an animal and the other has one of the most popular boys names of recent years.

(although George is very hot on politics for a 5 yr old)!!

    (please read with humour....)

Is this the new MSE template letter? I'll be copying and pasting it in a couple of weeks as DH informed me we are not off to his parents for free food and I am cooking for us and invited guests ;)

  • Dear Pepe,
I am indeed real.. although I am more commonly known as Santa, my birth name is actually George Lucas. Hence why I am able to fly around in vehicles unknown to mankind without the technology nor budget as seen by my arch nemesis, Steven Spielberg, who I hear was actually behind the invention of the Large Hadron Collider, and is planning on using it for the forces of evil and to bring ET back from whereever the hell he went in the strangely shaped bubble ship....

    ET phone home indeed....

    Yours sincerely,

    George (AKA Santa)

    Dear Pepe,
Immoral Angel is having some psychiatric issues at the moment, and is currently under review from the mental health team. Normal service shall be resumed shortly. In the meantime she appreciates sympathy gifts of alcohol and chocolate.

    Regards,
    Santa
