I check all my MS sites a few times a day. I usually find that by the time the email has arrived and I log in the jobs are gone so I try to log in as much as I can to try and catch them.

Please can someone advise me about completing the report for that RE casino job? On the first page it says 'Amount required' and then 'receipt required'.

So for amount, do I put in the total of the fee AND the reimbursement, and for the receipt, do I just put in the receipt total, although that only covers the food?

Did you enjoy the casino? I think someone has mentioned before that you should put the full reimbursement amount in the expenses section and just upload your food receipt.

I hope you had a good time we really enjoyed our visit to the casino.

I can't check the sites until the evening because of work & I find that I have missed loads  . Maybe I need a new job to fit in with the millions MS makes me :rotfl: . I'd love to do a casino job, I've never been to one before. Hmmm maybe I need to move house as well......

No, that's illegal. You have to let the person know they're being audio recorded and seek their consent before continuing. IF you're ever asked to do an audio/video recording MSing job, the employees at that shop/place will have been made aware that this is how MSing jobs are carried out and will have signed a form saying theyre ok with it; I know because I was a retail worker and had to do this myself once.

From a legal point this is isn't totally correct.

You only legally require consent to record information (either from an audio source eg microphone or telephone or a video source) if you intend to disclose it to anyone. Possession of it then become subject also to the Data protection act so you must ensure that it is kept secured and used only for the purpose intended and kept for only as long is necessary.

Ie it would be illegal to then post it on youtube for example but not so for the purpose of this. If you are asked to record and pass it on to a MS company - then it falls within the description above where consent must be given by the person.

However, most companies have in employment contracts as standard that they may be subject to CCTV (as in covert as well as overt) and that this may involve interactions with mystery shoppers. Telephone calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

How many people have signed a form to say that you agree for golden arches to record you in the shop and argue about the actual amount of time you were in a queue.... you haven't - they simply put a sign up saying CCTV is in use. Every shop records you all the time and do not need to obtain your consent.

The notification requirement of recording of footage and audio as I have said just depends on the intended use.
    Hope that helps clarify

I did enjoy it, thanks! Mind you, I'm a bit nervous because we were supposed to eat in the restaurant but it was fully booked. We had to order from the restaurant and sit at the edge of the gaming room, where they had sofas and coffee tables - other people were eating there, too - but I'm worried because the brief said eat in the restaurant. I hope RE will understand I just did what I thought was best in the circumstances.

  • Hi Guys,
I'm new to this whole thing, had my first two assignments on Friday, all going well so far. Anyway i signed up with TNS and they sent me a form to fill out in the post. However they ask for my bank details. I just wanted to confirm whether it was O.K to send these details through the post to them. I know it's a bit suspicious but you cant be too careful these days.

of course client areas will vary so they may not have any in yours

i didnt hear anything for quite a while and i sent them a message they said usual stuff but advised to add loads of postcodes around the areas i will visit, even if not far from my house

eg B28 but they said to put B1 if i wanted visits and b90, as b28 may not show all visits in the city centres that b1 and b90 cover

the next day i had a job offer which I accepted
Ive since had another cancel (by them) and "missed" 10 due to their fastest finger despite logging in as the email came through so must have gone within mili seconds ?!?

either way im not missing out by not using them and get plenty of work from the other agencies
