I love them! They do more merchandising work than mystery shopping. You'll need a digital camera for the merchandising work, and usually it involves bringing more stock out or setting up stands etc., so it can be quite physical work. It's not everyones cup of tea, so I thought I'd warn you.
The people in the office are really friendly if you get stuck, and I like their reporting system. They are quite strict and like reports completed correctly first time, so double check your answers and spelling before you submit it.Here I go again on my own....0 -

They wanted a comment for every single response! There was one asking the name of the staff member, so I put the name in the comments box and it showed up as an error because I hadn't used enough characters... I had to do it again as a sentence.
What a carry on. Is the report for the casino this much hassle? Hubby wants me to cancel as he doesn't really fancy it.
Today was only my second ever RE job and if the reports are this much hassle I'm not sure it's worth bothering. They pay the same fee as GR, but the GR report is quite straightforward and quick to do.
The casino questionaire is not to bad, but if hubby doesn't feel like it - then cancel. I had a really nice night out with hubby, got him to remember the names. With RE, you do only get to do them once as you can;t be a member. Remember to take ID as its needed to join. The food was very good if you are going to one with a restaurant. It was actually quite easy to slip away to the toilet to make notes. Also manged to go home with some winings - think it was £20 ish.0 -

I received payment today into my bank account for a visit I did on the 18 Feb. This was my first job for them and it asked for bank details when I was completing the report.0 -

Oh dear I think I just got caught out doing an express food job. Although the person was polite throughout soon as I asked for a receipt, his face completely changed, he looked at my mobile, squirmed a bit and then asked me to come back if I wanted any sauces despite him bagging everything up!0

Hey Plush Doormat, thanks
That did make me laugh
Maybe we could make more money writing sketches of MS'ing scenarios than actually writing the reports!!:rotfl:The_Plush_Doormat wrote: »Ha Ha! Can just see the report now:

Not had the best MS day today. It started OK with a couple of banks, both politely attempted to sell me a new account as requested, so money for old rope I was thinking.
Then I went to a stamp shop. Was interested to see one of the counter staff pretty much yelling at the old lady that he was serving. Luckily enough he was serving me next. He was so rude! Refused to accept a parcel as it had staples on it, then when I asked him if he would put some tape on it, told me to go to the shop counter and buy some, charming. Also told me off for putting sellotape on another parcel to make the stamps stay on, so wouldn't accept that one too. It's the first bad stamp shop MS I've done, so was surprised.
Then I came out of the shop feeling cross, and saw that whilst my husband was waiting outside, someone had reversed straight into his car. Nightmare. Fortunately he and my DS were both OK, but the woman that had hit him was trying to say that she couldn't see him!
Thought we should try to do the second stamp shop I had down, and that didn't go too well either. The lady sent the parcel by the wrong service, gave me a receipt for one of the items not the other, and took forever, doing everything v slowly and sighing to herself. So another unglowing report unfortunately.
Never mind, tomorrow is another day. I should be pleased really that the poor service is being picked up on, but am worried that they will try to deny it and it will be a lot of hassle.0 -
Please be gentle but I wondered if you more experienced MS could give me some advice. I have done a few Mystery Shops for Retail Eyes and GFK and understand the system and process. This evening I received an email from GAP Worldwide (who I forgot I registered with) stating there were shops in my area. I logged on and after ticking my location I could see a xxxxxx and xxxxx shops available.
I am interested but I just have no clue how the process works with GAP. I have checked my Profile and it has bank account number outstanding but no where to put sort code etc. I clicked on the xxxxxxx job and read notes and see the is a section to answer qualifying questions but do not know what or where to go next.
May I ask for someone who knows GAP to explain how you conduct the admin process from accepting to reporting please? Thank you0
