I went into a local supermarket and was in the diary section and saw a non-uniformed lady carrying out some work on a clipboard. I was soooo tempted to ask if she was an auditor but then felt too embarrased!

Was it one of you? black suit, grey\white hair?!

  • I just want to thank all the people who have contributed on this thread. I am now a mystery shopper and have my first "gig" next weekend 7th March and really looking forward to it. I know that I'm not going to get rich doing it, but the money that I make from mystery shopping can go towards paying off my credit cards and hopefully even if it just brings my debt free date down by a couple of weeks, it will be well worth it. Thanks everyone x

Well they're not "proper" MS jobs, more a cross between a MS and an Audit really. They're the cars jobs from BARE - I've a feeling it's gonna be a pretty long day on the road!
I've previously completed several of these circuits for BARE. Last time I had an 11 job circuit as well but it took me 2 days to get round them all.

Unfortunately car salespeople tend to be quite hard to pin down:rolleyes: You need to expect a lot of time hanging around waiting while they are busy with other customers or disappear for ages 'to see their manager' for a better price. It's difficult to get them to focus on price as they will try and waffle on about so many other things:rotfl: Also bear in mind that this weekend is the new 09 registration plate therefore most car dealerships will be extremely busy.

I got a call offering these jobs earlier in the week but I turned them down due to the time they take particularly at this busy time of year.

Well did my casino job tonight. Was not offered a tour or free chips. But the meal was to die for. Roast loin of venison with a thyme jus red cabbage and potato dauphinnoise then pineapple salsa, with passion fruit creme brullee (sp) and almond shortbread. They even had a smoking balcony!!! with magnificent views of the Clyde. ( Adjacent to the BBC Scotland building) so your looking right at the Squinty bridge.

But OMG that RE questionnaire. Like Was the server wearing a badge....Yes or No. I clicked Yes. Then the comments box lights up in red. So I put The server was wearing a badge. Then what was the name on the badge and THAT box lights up....OMG so I put THE NAME ON THE BADGE WAS XXXXXXX

As for the gambling I am still none the wiser but doing another tomorrow night.

    The jeans stores on BARE...

These jobs don't pay a fee, and only €25 towards purchases, nowhere near enough to buy anything at this store. Does anybody know if it's permissible to buy something then return it a week or two later, thus getting the full €25 in your pocket?

I have always been told NOT to take things back, if that helps.
MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR
  • Just to play devil's advocate here, I always presume I can take it back unless the brief says not to.

Does the store also sell T-shirts, wallets, belts etc? You might be able to get something for the fee. I have done some clothing shops and picked up bits like this for presents.

If you can't return to the store you might be able to e-bay.
