Hope somebody can help. I am doing some stamp shops next week. The scenario says that I can buy savings stamps. Does this mean that I can buy some stamps towards my car tax? Not used them before, but would be handy as my car tax is due next month.

Also is there any commission on the savings stamps? Thanks everyone for your help on here.
  • I have some supermarket jobs booked with TNS, the first of which is Monday. I haven't yet received the work packs. I've emailed to query this, but wondered if anyone else is in the same boat or if it's just me?

Yes - just ask for a £5 savings stamp and that's all it will cost you as there's no commission. You can use them for car tax as that's what I'm planning as well;)

That's great, thanks for responding so quickly.

On the scenario it says 'Do not purchase saving stamps if you are paying by credit card. (Saving Stamp - cash only)'. I am going to pay with a debit card, do you think that will be OK? Seems a bit ambiguous perhaps.

Aren't all GAP instructions a bit ambiguous:rolleyes: I think they're especially designed to trip us up:D

As it says cash only I always play safe and only buy them on the scenarios where I can pay by cash. If I have to use a debit card then I just buy stamps or something.

Has anyone else ever tried buying savings stamps with a debit card?

I think savings stamps are like tokens for gas etc and they only except cash for them. Also the payment method allows them to see a better picture of a fairier cross section of sales, as well as sometimes being relevant to the scenario.

Can anyone help? I had asked before but not had any reply, but payments for frontline focus, on the 1st page it's monthly, but I did my 1st assignment for them in early December, when I asked I was told there is a about a 3 month delay on payments. It did say on the site payments may be due around the 27th February. I haven't received any payment and I was wondering if anyone else has had payment for December jobs, either before the end of Feburary or earlier. It's not a couple of pounds, I am owed a £100 for December, plus assignments in January and Feburary too.

    TIA

Has anyone had phone calls from RE to see if they have completed a job? I have had two calls this month and I'm feeling like they think I'm unreliable! I have only had to change the date of one job in the last three months and I have never cancelled a job. If it is normal, I'll stop being paranoid lol.

I had a lot of calls when I was doing a gym assignment and recently seem to be getting reminder e-mails.

Maybe they are being let down more often lately and have started chasing. Surely if they increased their fees, shoppers would be more reliabe and they would save their internal labour costs. I would have thought that would be a more cost effective plan???
