Nope that makes perfect sense (I knew I should have kept this damn spreadsheet up to date!!!!). Hopefully by the end though I'll have worked out my profit (should be fun!!). Also what do you do if you make a loss e.g fee is £10 but mileage is £11? Thanks hun x

Don't worry about the loss - it just means less tax to pay! You only enter totals for the full financial year when you do your tax return, so these paper losses offset some of your earnings.

I sometimes find if I'm doing a few jobs in one day, I need to make two journeys ;) just because I find it difficult to keep a record of all the jobs and they need entering quickly in some cases, don't they? :D Other people may find this as well...

I've found that Gap are taking longer at the pending stage for accepting jobs as well as rescheduling. It used to be pretty much instant, but now it can take up to a couple of hours. Perhaps they have actually got someone reviewing them now?

I'm finding it difficult to read between the lines :p

Would the recommendation be that if I had say 3 journeys to do in one particular area, I would do 3 mileage expenses from home to each location?

You do whatever your conscience feels happy with! 3 separate journeys to one place may look a little suspicious, tho!

:T Very deep for a Sunday afternoon :T I shall explore the deepest and darkest corners of my mind and come up with a satisfactory resolution that the tax man will be happy with :)
  • Anyone know if there is a limit to the number of bookies they will offer? I have been rejected for all the ones I've applied for recently and wonder if Ive gone over my monthly limit?

thanks nads, I have a query on Gap. I put in 3 or 4 areas that are shopwing and when I search those areas no clients come up? Has anyone ever had that before? I really want to do my first job for them but they don't seem to have any!
    Lindz x

    Hi Lindz,

This is quite common as the list of locations isn't synchronised as the same time as jobs so jobs in Glasgow might go but that list of locations won't update for some time and you'll still see Glasgow listed.

With the URL I posted, do a search for say London and Manchester and you should definitely see jobs appear.

I have been doing this too using AA routes, but I may have to change that I think. If I am doing 4 or 5 jobs, I think I may have to do them in two journeys from now ;) .

I think you can only do 2 in a day - I got rejected for a couple I had added at the wrong day :/
