Hi all,
I've just remembered that GAP requires the results in 8 hours, so I'm over the time limit by 8 hours, i.e. I did my assignment 16 hours ago, does this mean I won't get paid for this job?0 -

It's easily done, but I am getting confused over the tax implications. I have registered as self employed so that I can do mystery shopping, but later on this year, I am planning on returning to work. How would my tax be affected at that time? I was wondering whether I need to inform the Inland Revenue of my change in circumstances or would my employment tax and self-employment tax be dealt with separately? Thanks.0

Hi
Does anyone work for Retail Active? I just wondered what they are like to work for and if they have many jobs?
I signed up recently and I'm busy doing a phone project for them which is quite lengthy and complicated. I will have spent approx 12 hours on it by the time I finish, but the fee is good. The ladies I've spoken to in the office are friendly and helpful. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Your employer will deal with your employment tax. When you do your self employment tax return, you add on the details of your employment and the tax you have already paid, then work out if you owe more or are due a rebate depending on your total income.
I'm assuming you have your personal allowance tagged onto your self employment. If the employment work is regular, it might be prudent to have your personal allowance on your employment otherwise you'll pay tax on all of your employment earnings. If you are doing less than the personal allowance in mystery shopping, you'll end up paying too much tax but will get a rebate at the end of the tax year. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Me again!
Did the casino job last night and it was great fun. The meal was gorgeous - really well presented and the steak I had was beautiful. Husband had a few pints and we played slots and table games and came out £10 up :j
There didn't seem to be a dress code at all. He went in smart jeans and a shirt, and I went in smart trousers and a blouse, but there were other people there in tracksuits and other very casual clothing.
It's a good night out if you see it offered, but the amount of money people were putting in the machines was unreal! People were just loading note after note into the slots. I wouldn't have been happy doing that if I was playing with my moneyHere I go again on my own....0 -

Sounds like a good night out. I was a bit wary about doing these, thought I would stand out and look out of place. I was thinking swanky James Bond type thing!
I'll see if I can pick one up next time, Thanks. x0 -
Becles, how do people get offered these with RE? I know I am pretty good with RE as I have over 800 points and have done Spanish lunches...but never a casino.0
