You'll see me from the entrance. I will be the one with the red face. Going to make a funny badge. HED PERFECT BARESDEN AKADAMIE. No offence to dear Natalie. Hence been practising my rubbish spelling.:rotfl:

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's brilliant!!

I'm going to get the Herald to take a photo of you!

I did have a fancy dress thing you could have used - would have been a bit difficult for you to sit down at the till though! Not really a Halloween one but good for New Year!

It's an OXO CUBE. Dead easy to make, and we've still got one from years ago. Just a large box covered in tinfoil with OXO in red foil on each side, and holes for your arm & legs. Looks best if you wear a plain red or black top & trousers or leggings with it, then if (when!)your arms get tired later on you just take the box off!

Trouble is, you get people using you as a table and putting their drinks on you!!

Another good one for pregnant ladies is going as "Little Weed" - just wear an ordinary maternity dress, make a sunflower thingy for your head, and a sign on your back saying "Was it Bill or was it Ben?!" This has won 1st. Prize at a couple I've been to over the years. It wasn't me though!

Back to Mystery Shopping - I've got one of the Jewellery shops to do on Friday, so will be interesting to see how it goes - thanks for the info you gave me Becles - this is a different company to the one that didn't pay you, so we''ll just see what happens. I'm in town anyway that day, and the fee is quite good - if I get it!! Watch this space....................
    ;)
  • Did you get my cinema job???? I wasted too much time trying to read the brief and see what they reimbursed you for, and when I clicked to accept it I was too late!

Just kidding, I know it was my own fault!

don't think so, SC, unless you wanted one in the southwest!!!
Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0
MutualPoints 2898 STP £20.50 Tesco clubcard points £950 for summer 09!

  • I went to do my first assignment today - what a disaster.

I had to locate a stand in a shopping centre and I couldn't find it anywhere, I was there for 2 and 1/2 hours, so I followed my briefing notes and rang the phone number on there, every time I rang I got an automated voice saying there is no-one to take your call please ring later, I rang 20 times and it was the same everytime, I returned home and rang again and this time it was answered and they said just to put down unable to locate stand.

I thought this one would be really easy, it has put me off a bit and I don't know if I will get paid as I couldn't do the assignment.

    I hope this is a one off!!

Poor thing - that's not a good day!

Who was the MS company? I know some do pay out if you can't find the stand, especially if you have taken a photo of where you thought it should be.
Here I go again on my own....

Does anyone know anything about MSPA certifications?

I've noticed a couple of the companies I've signed up to as what certification I have (which is none) and just wondering if thats why I never get any job offers from these companies.
Gets a bit off putting logging on everyday to see theres nothing.

It was for re and all the briefing said was it is in the town centre and if I could not find it to ring a number, so I looked and looked and then looked and looked and then looked again!!!

    I couldn't take a photo because I didn't know where it should be:confused:

Never mind, I have got more to do this week with another company and I know where to look:D

I've not done that sort of job for RE.

I've done them for other companies, but you get more specific locations such as "in xxx mall" or "outside Tesco" etc.

Try sending an email explaining it so at least it shows you have tried contacting them and hopefully someone will sort it out tomorrow.

I did a similar one for IMS and I just took a photo of where I thought it should be and it was okay - I have still been paid. So I shouldn't worry too much.

Becles - I remember your name from the mysteryshoppersuk forum - is it still going as I tried to log in recently but it didn't recognise me. I used to do lots of MS work about five years ago but had to stop when I took a job, but as I've been made redundant I am now doing it again?
  • Has anyone had any problems entering data for GfK? I have tried several times but I get about halfway through the questionnaire and the computer just hangs. I've tried logging out several times but it keeps happening. I've emailed them and am awaiting a response. I just wondered if it was my computer or if this does happen sometimes.
  • I did one of those jobs for RE and the stand was not there although I did know where it was meant to be; I rang RE and was told just to ask someone behind the till just to sort of back myself up, so I could put on the report, an eg, "I spoke to Mark, a sales assistant behind the till and he confirmed that there had not been a stand/that they had packed up and left at about 3pm" etc. I also took photos and because I had made a purchase too as a regular customer I was able to offer a receipt as further proof or the time and date I was there if needed but I was paid with no problems.
