    Hello all,

I've got a quick question on a lunch meal shop I've got tomorrow through TNS. The time showing for the job is 12.30-2. Is this the time you have to arrive by or have completed the shop by?

    Thanks

    M

I *think* it means you have to arrive no earlier than 12:30, and no later than 2:00. Actually, I think I read somewhere that you should arrive no later than half an hour before the end time, so really that would be between 12:30 and 1:30.

:T Just got allocated my first cinema job. I applied ages ago and forgot all about it until today. Anyway, its a trailer check I have to do, has anyone here done one of those that could tell me a bit more about it?.

Its been a while since i did one but it was slightly surreal to be honest! Its pretty hard work concentrating for the trailers as you had to stop watch each advert and write down details - the person sitting nexct to me clearly thought I was mad but yes, you can stay to watch the film usually and you dont have to be discrete and its not the Cinema you are MSing, its the trailers, so you can use your clipboard in full view!

    Enjoy the film!

If you have no other earnings, I'm assuming you are not paying NI. You might want to reconsider the Small Earnings Certificate.

By paying Class 2 NI (which is around £2.10 a week), it counts towards your state pension and makes you eligble for things like maternity allowance and incapacity benefit should you need it. If you have a small earnings certificate, you only get £27 a week maternity, however by paying NI, I got £112 a week.

Thanks for the information Becles. I'm in my first year at university, so don't think it's really going to be worth me doing this as (hopefully!) I'll have plenty of time to work before needing maternity pay.

Josie - thanks for the explanation, have sent you a PM :)

Reading through the forms and website and have more questions (sorry guys!)
On the CWF1 form, it asks for the "name of your business" and "business address." What do I put in this part of the form, as I am registered with more than one mystery shopping company, as I'm sure most of you are :)

On the CF10 Small Earnings form, it asks "What are your expected net earnings from
self-employment for the period from 6 April 2008 to 5 April 2009?" (I did my first job last week). What is a realistic figure to put down? I'd probably do one or two jobs a week, if they were available.

It also mentions on the form about employment from April 2008. I have worked for two employers since then, but I have now left both jobs. Do I still declare these?

Finally, I read on the website somewhere than when you fill in your tax return, you have to declare interest off any savings accounts? Does this include ISAs?!

    Thank you!

I knew you would say that. I am on from 9 till 6.30. Haven't the foggiest what to dress up as . Have a friend who is a checkout out dolly in Tesco. Maybe I could borrow her uniform for the day. I thought of Little Red Riding Hood but I haven't got a red cape.

Now Bryssn you are super duper at these things so I am depending on you. HELP:rotfl:

On a serious note look at the time. Did a RE upmarket pub meal tonight. Crikey it was like Fawlty Towers. Meal I ordered was supposed to be on a bed of sweet potato but was ordinary mash. Sauce was supposed to be chorizo ??? but there was no chorizo. The poor overworked and understaffed waiters were like blue a**** flies on LSD. Then Sybil??? the manageress from hell screamed in the kitchen at my poor Italian waiter while the customers all looked at each other in horror. DH got battered fish ( a bit like the waiter) and got no tartar sauce. We got no checkback so he got no chance to ask for it.

It has taken me 2 flaming hours to do the report and quelle surprise when I clicked submit it said "Validating answers" and stuck at that. Who do they employ in their IT dept... a chipmunk from the local zoo. I have lost count of posters on here who have had problems submitting reports for them.

My biggest worry and I know many will identify with this but I am terrified this poor waiter will get slaughtered by the manageress as the briefing notes specify their bonus etc depends on the report.

But other than tell a pack of lies I hated having to be honest in case this poor guy getts a rollicking.

I just use my full name as my business name, and then my home address as my business address.

Just make a guess based on your one or two jobs a week. It's not a test and they won't come back if you make more or less than your estimate!

I think so. When you do your tax return you'll have to fill in a page for each showing your earnings and any tax taken off (or refunds given).
Finally, I read on the website somewhere than when you fill in your tax return, you have to declare interest off any savings accounts? Does this include ISAs?!

ISA's are tax free. You have to declare taxable interest from ordinary savings accounts plus any other taxable investment income.
Here I go again on my own....

I did click save work Josie after each page. This is not by any means the 1st time I have had this problem with RE reports. I also made a boob with 1 of the pharmacy jobs and put the wrong receipt pic on the report ( which was a job I did for another MS company oops) and they put my original report back on my page to let me replace the image and that won't work either.

Did my report for Gfk last night and it went in with no problem so it isn't my pc.

BTW solved my Halloween outfit problem. Going to go as a naughty schoolgirl. Out of character I know.:rotfl: Bet Bryssn will appear armed with her camera.!!!!

    Funny you should say that........!

I'm off out tomorrow (in between jobs) to get myself a new digital camera, as I need one for Friday, and Nat will be away in France at a climbing comp so will have ours with her. My phone camera isn't brilliant so decided to treat myself!

I could test it out on you before I go to do the job!!!

    See you Friday.................. :rotfl:
