You should take that brief off the forum nads as it's against confidentiality and all that.

It probably is genuine. I've done similar work for other companies and had no problems with reimbursement.

Went out for a birthday meal on Tuesday (non MS visit). Someone has just released the same restaurant back onto RE with an end date of today. How annoying is that?!

Aout as annoying as being hungry in Manchester Piccadilly station, having had no jobs there, and then going home to find someone had re=released one. I could have screamed!!

I actually had Gap query a receipt today, until now I didn't believe they ever looked at them. The print was so feint it didn't show on the scan. I've altered the brightness/contrast etc and hopefully they can read it now.

I did one of those, we had steaks, side orders and a few extra drinks and they paid the whole tab, but do be meticulous with your receipts :)

Thanks Cherry, I can't see it being a problem because it will still only use half the budget, so they will be quids in. Mind you, the hotel isn't wonderful (not bad either) but its still a free night out. Then we will have brekkie the next morning and head off a few miles to do a sunday lunch job :D . Perfect weekend as far as I'm concerned lol.

Having whinged that Feb was quiet, the jobs have come in slowly but surely. 22 for Feb so far (month as a whole, not done already), so can't be all bad. There must be some newbies in my area because all the rank burger jobs from GAP have gone lol.

Hi All, was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, i had applied to ABA (not aba-I) for mytsery shopping, and received an email last week saying that they would call me for an interview for the first part of the recruitment process, got tjhis email yesterday, and now i am in two minds whether to go, i have with many MS companies, and have had none that have asked to go for an interview?!?!?! its is out of my way around 25 miles from where i live and was wondering if anyone is currently with this company or heard about them?!?! is it a worthwhile visit???]

    Cheers.:o

    Hi,
Thank you for your time earlier this week, it was really nice to speak to you. I am happy to inform you that you have been successful at the first stage of the recruitment process and I am pleased to invite you to the meeting next Tuesday.
However, as there were fewer interviewees that met the requirements than initially anticipated, we have elected to join the two meetings into one. I have located a hotel that is equidistant between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The meeting will start at 11 am so that you will miss the rush hour traffic and as previously mentioned will only take a couple of hours. The venue is The Best Western Hillcroft Hotel, East Main St, Whitburn, Nr Livingstone, West Lothian, EH47 0JU.
Please could you let me know as soon as possible if you are available to attend this meeting, but please take into consideration the fact that it could be some time before there is a need to recruit in your vicinity again.
    Many thanks,
    Sally.

You have just been lucky enough to be accepted for an interview. Most applicants don't get that. They do all the big programmes, and pay really well also. Only prob is that you will need to pick up a run of visits every allocation (within 30 miles of your home they say as minimum, pay more for longer runs) they are a professional ms company, pay for experts, not shoppers. Full training given, they are getting bigger and bigger, and pay properly. Go for it, lucky you! Sally is lovely. If you go, you get work monthly, almost guaranteed, as long as you pass their tests.

I've edited my post - a little -the company is genuine but to get an email of that calibre when I've never received a job from them despite being with them for over 2 years, just raised an eye brow.

What would be classified as busy on RE?

I only ask because I signed up in January and have had 3 retail stores - despite seeing many pubs and clubs which I always pass on and they're not always very near to me.

Since I've been actively looking for mystery shops (being out of work and all), I've done\got lined up 22 jobs, how does that compare, is that a lot or still quiet?

I've done 16 jobs so far this month and I've got another 12 jobs lined up so far. Will probably get a few more before the end of the month. Saying that only 3 have been with RE. Are you registered with a few MS companies?
  • I've done/have lined up 47 jobs since beginning of January up to and including 17th Feb. That's not just RE of course - it's loads of different companies. What is everyone else averaging?
  • Right, does some totting up.... Just counted and as of today, I've done 89 MS jobs this year.. blimey, had no idea I'd done that many!
  • I've done 59 so far with more lined up for Feb. 89 CP - do you sleep?????;)
