I live in Liverpool and would be intrigued to know who the "ice" jobs are for.0

Quick - some phone jobs on RE0
-
Well I had the stamp job from hell today. She actually refused to give me a receipt - that's right - refused. I bought a £5 saving stamp and she said "why do you want a receipt, you can tell it's for £5.00". I mean, seriously. Then she told me it was too late for her to get one from the computer and manually wrote me out one. No apologies, no smiles, no interaction, no goodbyes. Needless to say have marked her as a 1 so what's the bets GAP e-mail tomorrow!!! And they'd better pay up cause it's not my fault I didn't get a proper receipt.0

Also, I've signed up for Tern but they want me to do a trial shop? Is that normal for them?
Yes its very normal. You're best doing it properly and not faking the report. I did the report as specified (it was a jewellery store) and then they sent it back to me telling me where they would want further comments etc and how to improve on my reporting so it is done the way THEY like it. Anyway, it gets your foot in the door to a lot of good jobs they offer which pay much better fees than most. Good luck!
Thanks for the info. I think mine is a jewellery store as well.0 -

How many of those incoming telephone calls in RE can you take?0
-
Weeeelll after having a little whine about RE earlier, I've picked up 4 jobs in the last half hour, one of which is a lovely posh restaurant job for me and hubby for Valentines Day. He's been really down lately... the company he worked for went pop and he's lost his management job. We're completely skint, we don't qualify for a penny off the state as I own my own business and it's going to be about 6 weeks before his redundancy money comes through, so we're not in a good state, AT ALL! But, a nice meal out will cheer him up so I'm thankful to RE for the opportunity. We wouldn't have been able to go out otherwise but popping it on the Visa and waiting for the reimbursement is do-able. MS does have its blessings... sometimes!0

Yep - had the baby with me - I'm a goner  I actually sent a covering e-mail to say I thought she was European (maybe Eastern). Not that that is an excuse for bad customer service but maybe that's the way they deal with customers????0 -
Riskiest mystery shop I have seen in a long time... sad truth is I think it's genuine....
Mystery Shop | Phone Retailer
For this mystery shopping program, you will be required to visit a Phone Retailer (we will provide the exact address details to purchase a phone and insurance prepaid for one year. We therefore want you to test the compliance of staff and the level of service and knowledge that you receive from them.
Mystery Shopper Tasks
It is very important to write down as much information as possible about your visit, the process you went through, how the staff dealt with your inquiry and the information you were given. You will be required to fill out an online questionnaire after your visit. During the visit to your allocated store (which will last approx 30 minutes) you will be required to purchase a mobile phone (without a SIM card) and insurance for one year. The insurance MUST be paid in one go and not by monthly payments. The price of the telephone must be approx £200. Plus the insurance price approx. £100.
Please DO NOT open the seal on the mobile telephone box. The box is to be returned in the condition it was bought. Please take a photo of the box and make copies of the receipts as proof before you return it and send these documents to me.
After your visit you must return all the materials within 48 hours to our office via registered mail:
§ Telephone (in box & unopened)
§ Original receipt with specification which mobile telephone and which insurance was bought
§ Proposal form of insurance
Please make a copy of the original receipt and of the proposal form and take a photo of the boxed up phone, and keep it as a proof of the visit! Please send these copies via email to me ASAP and I will have a cheque sent out that day via Special Delivery for the exact amount spent in store.
Please let me know if you are interested in the participating in above project. If so please email me back with your best contact number and we can move things forward from there.0
