  • Hi, Regarding the RE station assignments can you really spend the whole reimbursement? Last time I read the paperwork it said you can buy additional items but 'at your own cost'. Has this changed?

Oh my god you're right! I just checked and it says at your own cost. Can't they even spare us the £1.50 left over from £3 for the water!!! Absolute bunch of cheapskates!!!

TNS had a few for the beginning of Feb but they went very quickly - none showing in my area now.

I have been a complete idiot!

Can someone please confirm that just giving your name sort code and account number nothing can be taken from your bank.

I have been very careful not to sign up to any companies that ask for money or fee's as it's me who's going to get paid not them.

I replied to a add on a jobsite for MS'ers in my area and gave the normal name phone number payment details. But then i got an email telling me i'll get paid 350 per assignment which i know is deffinately not true. I googled the company name full scope inc and found info saying it's a scam.

Apparantly they'll try to get me to wire money somewhere which obviously i would never have gone through with anyway but i'm a bit worried that i gave them any of my details at all!

I am normally so much smarter than this! I used to work for a credit card company (booo!) so am very alert on email scams.

I always used to think it was safe just giving your bank account and sort code as didn't see how that would give anyone access.

But then, do you remember that Jeremy Clarkson :A was in the news just before Xmas for saying the same thing and published his bank account details in the Sun, so someone actually managed to take £500 out of his account by setting up a direct debit to charity, which he then had to donate!

Yes, does sound like a scam - in fact someone warned about this on this very thread about a couple of weeks ago.

There's an article about it here: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/consumer/article.html?in_article_id=415796&in_page_id=5

I think you may be ok, because the scam is later on, once you've sent the £350 - as you say, it's the amount that rings alarm bells - a genuine mystery shop would have you sending a tenner at most.

they mailed me asking me to send them my details so that they could register me for mystery shopping

Never heard of them/him, but I would say it's pretty suspicious behaviour for them to contact you out of the blue - I assume you didn't attempt to register with them before they sent you the email? It kind of sounds like a scam, I've never heard of an MS company going out looking for people (except by referrals from people who already work for them)quote]

Yes, and the fact that they're in the States would be a bit odd, too.

Blue Apple do contact people out of the blue, though don't they? And people on here have done jobs for them (me included) In fact I must ask them where they got my email address from in the first place as I didn't apply to them and my email addy is not visible on here.

Talking of BA - anyone know how long they take to pay or when?

Apologies for monopolising the board tonight!

I've not long joined React Surveys and only done one job til now, when they emailed me the details I filled it out and replied to the email with the completed job notes.

I've now been allocated another job which I'm meant to go online and accept, but have never been given a log in? Anyone else had this? Have emailed them to say this, but not had a response yet. Don't want to miss out on the job, because I haven't accepted it soon enough!

Apologies it this has been spotted but I haven't hads a chance to catch up proper on the chat.

I've seen all those lovely bookie jobs on Gyp and cried when none of them are near to me. I also note they've reduced you betting money by a quid. At least the fees still the same..... for now

    Hi Jo,

I did a premium job for them on 4th November, & I've just checked & the money went in to my account on 27th.

They advertised jobs on this forum & I replied saying I could do it, but only because they were paying a premium, as it was two trains & almost an hour away from me. It was worth it in the end & quite a nice job, though the normal fee they pay wouldn't have been worth it for me.
    ;)

You should've had a log on when you joined up - but if not, then they will reply to your e-mail when they're in the office tomorrow morning.
I did my first assignment for them last weekend, which turned into a bit of a nightmare - no fault of theirs - but they've been really good with helping me get around the problems, and have now offered me another assisgnment.

They are good at replying to e-mails tho - so you should get a reply tomorrow!!
