ME: "Ooh, nice T shirt, but £30 is a bit pricey. Can I have a discount?"
    S/A: "No"
ME: "Ok, I'll buy it anyway."

    :rotfl:

Does anyone remember the convenience store RE had a while back? It wasn't the store itself but a gift card type thing IIRC.

Anyway - the brief was ridiculous.

Shopper: "Hello, how much can I put on this gift card"
    MOS: "Any amount you like"
Shopper "OK, I'll have a mars bar thanks"

My first job was an underground sandwhich for RE. I was so excited I was getting free food (and some money!)

    Ahh, those were the days...

I have been a complete idiot!

Can someone please confirm that just giving your name sort code and account number nothing can be taken from your bank.

I have been very careful not to sign up to any companies that ask for money or fee's as it's me who's going to get paid not them.

I replied to a add on a jobsite for MS'ers in my area and gave the normal name phone number payment details. But then i got an email telling me i'll get paid 350 per assignment which i know is deffinately not true. I googled the company name full scope inc and found info saying it's a scam.

Apparantly they'll try to get me to wire money somewhere which obviously i would never have gone through with anyway but i'm a bit worried that i gave them any of my details at all!

I am normally so much smarter than this! I used to work for a credit card company (booo!) so am very alert on email scams.

LOL - I think the jobs are run for the benefit of the establishment not the shoppers! If you read the notes on this one, you have to order the Italian dish to make sure it is presented in a certain way.

It's to do with brand image and making sure every customer gets the same experience. I've done other restaurants where you have to order specific dishes and and you get a food spec showing what ingredients you should have and the way it should be presented. Some are so specific - "your salad garnish must contain 4 pieces of pepper and 2 cherry tomatoes" or "the bread must be arranged like this and have 2 pats of butter with it".

I've just had to turn down an Italian restaurant as this time you had to order a seafood based dish, and both husband and me hate seafood!
I think we must be talking about different jobs here:o My original comments were about the Sunday one and there was no mention of an Italian meal.

I can understand that on occasions they do need to check the presentation of specific dishes but for this one there were no details on what they should look like so it would be impossible to check.
  • There are lots of jobs going up on RE right this second.

I'm starting to get worried as I can't see them, no railway jobs, just a few retail and some health clubs :( What area are you in?
