Do you need a train ticket to do these railway jobs ? I havent used my local train station for a while and i remember that you need to go past barriers to get to the shop.

Some stations you have to pass through the barrier, and some you don't. When I need to get through the barrier I just buy the cheapest off-peak return to the next station then go through, do the job, then come back out using the return portion of the ticket.
  • hi,
    has anyone heard of:
    Michael Bernard
    Best Surveys
    505 Barranca Parkway
    Irvine, CA 92604-3703

they mailed me asking me to send them my details so that they could register me for mystery shopping

Never heard of them/him, but I would say it's pretty suspicious behaviour for them to contact you out of the blue - I assume you didn't attempt to register with them before they sent you the email? It kind of sounds like a scam, I've never heard of an MS company going out looking for people (except by referrals from people who already work for them).

And by the way, very little showing on RE for me (north east). Lots of railway stations but none close to me. Certainly no health clubs.

I don't want to concern anyone but thought I should post this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7174760.stm

I'd write to your bank if I were you and alert them - at least it's on file should anything happen...

Just done a cafe assignment. I got told it was in a college and I should go in casual clothes so I look studenty and blend in. So off I went in my jeans......

Got there and the cafe was in the automotive and engineering building, so I've had my lunch with a load of 16-17 year old boys. I don't think I blended in very well :o
Here I go again on my own....
  • I'm having a bad week with RE. Hit the 'Apply for assignment' button only to be told someone else had been allocated the assignment on 4 seperate ocassions. Anyone recommend any exercises for improving clicking speed?
    £10 a day: March - August: £1653.54/£1840; September £92.86/£300
NSD: April - August: 49 NSDs; September: 9/12
    101 in 1001 Project: 05/07/09 - 01/04/12 (8/101 completed)

    Wow! that IS scary, Timmne!

Now I feel I have to defend myself... I guess I'm an idiot. I was just repeating what I've read time and time again over on ebay's Q&A board. Over there, people were worried if foreign buyers who didn't want to pay by paypal, asked for their bank details (I was one of the worried ones actually!), and loads of people answered saying it was nothing to worry about - it's no more info than you give out on a cheque etc etc.

That really is scary - but doesn't it just show how efficient the banks are (not!). They act so arrogant like if anything goes wrong it must be our fault, not theirs - they should have far better security in place.

Normally if you need a ticket it will have (CON) in brackets as it's on the concourse. If not double check the notes as RE have always on jobs I have done advised if a ticket is required to get to the unit.

haha, oops!! I've got one of these tomorrow, maybe I should try and find a boiler suit just in case! ;-)
  • This is just curiosity as there are none anywhere near me... but I notice there is a certain burger place listed on RE. The notes say you must order the item specified in stage 3. I can't see stage 3... can anyone or is it not available yet?

I'm only asking for future reference in case one comes up that is near to me - I love this particular place but will only eat the vegeburger. Would hate the accept a job and then find I had to order meat!!!

Stage 3 is after you accept the assignments. For some reason they do not let you know what to order before accepting the assignment.
