  • Liverpool; I am also able to see London, Crewe and Stoke railway jobs; I took the 2 Liverpool ones I could see (I think it's fair as I let all the pub ones go!)

Hmmm, how peculiar! I'm not far from you, 10 miles or so, and I can't see a single railway job! In fact I only have 20 jobs visible and half of those have been hanging around for a while. I could understand not seeing jobs in the Liverpool railway station as I was working there last month and did 3 but that doesn't explain the rest. Maybe I've been put on the naughty step!!!

I have been a complete idiot!

Can someone please confirm that just giving your name sort code and account number nothing can be taken from your bank.

I have been very careful not to sign up to any companies that ask for money or fee's as it's me who's going to get paid not them.

I replied to a add on a jobsite for MS'ers in my area and gave the normal name phone number payment details. But then i got an email telling me i'll get paid 350 per assignment which i know is deffinately not true. I googled the company name full scope inc and found info saying it's a scam.

Apparantly they'll try to get me to wire money somewhere which obviously i would never have gone through with anyway but i'm a bit worried that i gave them any of my details at all!

I am normally so much smarter than this! I used to work for a credit card company (booo!) so am very alert on email scams.
You can report a scam here.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to change your account?

Makes two of us Cherry, absolutely zilch showing on mine, but I'm wondering if they wont let me see more until they check my report as I seem to be back on probation.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Do you need a train ticket to do these railway jobs ? I havent used my local train station for a while and i remember that you need to go past barriers to get to the shop.

I don't really use this account anyway infact i intend to close it next month when my last loan payment with them is made! Yay!

I'm going to keep an eye on my account though. I really feel so stupid.

Good question, something I hadn't thought of - would be a good idea to find out before accepting the job, 'cos I don't want to have to buy a ticket as well...

If you've given your sort code and account number - just remember that is exactly the info you give out whenever you write a cheque - and that has your signature too, but it doesn't mean anyone you give a cheque to can then access your account!

I udnerstand your concern but I would say it's unlikely they can get any money out of your account with just those details, but you can always tell your bank what happened and ask their advice just to be on the safe side.
