I have done a 3 TNS fast pizzas and always taken someone with me. If you get the dough balls to start and share them and don't go for the most expensive pizzas (have one each) and have a soft drink each you will stay under £23. I have always had the full amount reimbursed although I do think that the wording on the job notes states you won't.

Great idea. I will do just that. Thanks vicki!

When I get the restaurants I always have a look on the website and work out in advance what to have so I can make sure that we don't go over budget as I wouldn't stand a chance adding up the amounts and trying to make observations and timings.

That way when you are left alone to look at the menu you can instead take notes on cleanliness etc so you don't have to try and do it while eating. HTH x
  • Hi all, I did a Pharmacy job for RE today. I was meant to buy a certain product and it was out of stock. I said it was for my partner and I needed ot go and call him to see if he wanted something different. I left the shop and called RE from the car. They said to buy what they reccomended instead. It turned out to be a lot cheaper. So does this mean I won't get the full £5 in expenses?
    Thanks all

I think with RE they will reimburse you what you bought, plus obviously you get the fee.

I did the Tapas one too last week, I had a go at working out what to have before hand but it got too confusing, plus I was taking a friend as it was her birthday so I thought it was a bit mean to dictate to her what she was having! Came in at only £4.50 over budget and we really went for it having 2 drinks each and ordered too much food. Just thought that might help anyone else if they have one of these coming up.

I'm doing the Pharmacy one tomorrow and have to buy the product. I haven't done one before and am a bit nervous about the Repeat Prescription question. Are they likely to start asking me what I have and how often etc? If so I need to come up with a cover story fast!
  • hi all (I'm new *waves*)

I've signed up with TNS, GR, BARE and RE but only had jobs through so far from RE - does anyone have any advice on who does the most food based jobs - we're big takeaway and restaurant fans!

    thanks for all the help!

I did one of these today, I said it was for an elderly relative, and if they asked any scary questions, I said "I'll ask my relative". Good luck!

Thanks Lindz, I will do that, I am surprised that the notes don't suggest something really given that for the first part where you have to buy the tablets it explains all the symptoms of a pretty common illness so you look credible!
