Hollypear - Good point about them not asking you where you were going, suppose they wouldn't? Would it be possible that the insurance company or anybody would look into seeing if you have the correct insurance and would you get in trouble if it's illegal?

I checked this today with my godson who is my insurance broker. He tells me unless you are wearing some kind of "I am a mystery shopper" uniform.:rotfl:your insurance company only ask how the accident happened, speed etc. He says they don't ask where you were going at the time or why. After all he says if you were asked just say you were going shopping. ( which is kind of true).

Hope this clarifies it for you all.

Sorry, I know I've asked this before but I don't think I got an answer last time..(could be wrong but I can't find it!) the TNS fast pizza where it reimburses you £23, it says on one part of the brief that you can bring anyone you want and they'll reimburse £23 then later on it says they will not reimburse anyone else's meal.

Has anyone ever successfully claimed for 2 main meals when the value was under £23 still? I was thinking starter to share, 2 x pizzas, and 1 x drink. As I'd like to do the job but am getting a bit narked that I'll actually have to pay out to do it as I'm not gonna go on my own!

I did one of these a couple of months ago - assuming it's the same brief - they actually mean they won't reimburse you OVER the £23. So if you want to take someone that's fine as long as you are aware anything over £23 you will have to pay yourself.

The notes are confusing - in fact I nearly cancelled the job because of that comment - but I contacted my area manager and she clarified it for me.

Ah that's great, so as long as I keep it under £23 and make sure I order at least 1 starter/dessert, at least 1 main and at least 1 drink I'll be ok?

Thanks SC you've always been really helpful to me on here!

I have done a 3 TNS fast pizzas and always taken someone with me. If you get the dough balls to start and share them and don't go for the most expensive pizzas (have one each) and have a soft drink each you will stay under £23. I have always had the full amount reimbursed although I do think that the wording on the job notes states you won't.
