I have ad a few problems with Gap, lately a lot of my assignments are going into a pending database, getting asked to re-send receipts they said they had not received. I have asked about this in an email to them, are they alright if you ask them to phone you (as I notice phoning them is deemed sackable?) just having a few issues anyway and if anyone could help it would appreciated.0

Would they not pay you for a job without letting you know, or do they let you know, or always query before not paying. I've yet to have a query from them, but I have noticed a number of jobs which I completed appear on the list again.
They're also not letting me sign up for chicken jobs even though I've never done one before, have been certified, and they've actually emailed me to let me know the job was available. I have emailed them about this, but as yet no reply.
Thanks,
FF
just saw this as I posted my query about them, I'm getting para now, getting pulled up on small things and I don't know if I've answered these again fully to get paid or not!0 -

Oh dear I am sooo behind the times - new thread - 4 pages ...................
I have been so busy with DD2 on school hols (scottish term times), and my other SE work - I just have not been doing much ms work. But, I am keeping my hand in and have a really nice tourist attraction for next week for the whole family - really excited about that one.
Hello to any newbies to the thread - and I shall try and catch up with the highs and lows of the MSE ms-ers!:D0 -
Hi,
as a new MS I have found lots of work on GAP amongst others I have been using. I received an email yesterday entitled "how to avoid invalid evaluations!". It would have been nice if I had some feedback telling me what assignment was invalid and which assignments I am and am not being paid for, as I assume it is directed at me with regards to an assignment rather than being a general email sent out?
The otehr companies I have been working for have been quite good at feedback and/or payment details.Irony.
The opposite of wrinkly.0 -
I think that gap email may have been a general one as other MS have received it so do not worry. GAP will contact you if there are some errors in an assignment or they ask additional questions, after which they decide to pay you or not. If they do not contact you, then its al ok0

I have worked for Gapbuster, Retail Eyes and TNS. They are all virtually as bad as each other!
Gapbuster sent me to a derelict site and as it was an expenses only visit, refused to pay. When they called asking for 'a favour', I said no problem, as soon as I have been paid expenses for my last visit, at which point my account was closed!
Retail Eyes have just closed my account without telling me because I did not complete a visit because their briefing notes were not explicit about times when the visit actually be done.It turned out that the visit could only be done at a specific time when I was not available. But for my quick thinking in obtaining a refund and persistance in telling them that I had been conned, they would have left me nearly £150 out of pocket. It looks like they are agreeing to pay my expenses, but I have been removed from the panel without explanation but presumably because of my persistance in getting what I was owed.
I still work for TNS, but they are getting really picky and have tried not to pay me on several occasions. For example the item on my notes was out of stock and they told me that as I had not bought it that the visit was not done properly. I had to really fight them over this and explain the situation many times despite my initial report being dead clear.
My advice is dont presume you will get paid and don't part with too much money for a single visit as these companies are all a bit underhand!
Good luck!!!0 -

The couple of times that Gap haven't paid me, when it was my error, they have always notified me.
Have never had any problems with TNS querying anything, report or payment-wise.0 -

No, this was just a general email and not aimed at you personally.0
